Houssine Fucking Kharja man...

It all started because of him, god i think it's some kind of curse or plague that struck our beloved team.
Could be. He was the beggining of the Schelottos, Kuzmanovics and Belfodils

I'm a much more recent fan of Inter but I can relate to that feeling.

For the last few seasons, I always feel there is some hope at the end of summer mercato and with the results in the beginning of the season. We've started 12/13 and 13/14 with a good record just to see us dropping badly in the table (to finish 9th and 5th).

I felt the same way this season. Medel, M'Vila, Osvaldo, Dodo, a very respectable 1W2D0L in the International Guiness Cup, the goal-fest against Stjarnan and Sassuolo... but after the poor football shown in the crushing losses to Cagliari and Viola and reading Mazzarri's comments on the issue of fitness levels while refusing to rotate makes me hopeless again, even earlier this season. And angry.

M'Vila is shit. He will make little to no impact at the club.
Form shown during the International Guiness Cup counts for absolutely nothing.
The same can be said for the goal fests against Stjarnan and Sassuolo.

Your post reflects how far the standards and expectations of Inter's supporters have dropped over the last few years. Results for a club like Inter against the likes of Stjarnan and Sassuolo are obligatory not optional.

If M'Vila doesn't work out I would really love to see us make a move for Allan from Udinese. He's a beast.

Great thread. Frisko expressed my feelings pretty fucking spot on. :D

Passion is gone and like Pajo said, it's because our players don't seem to have that passion. And that is the fault of the whole organization and of course, the coach. Coach is a big part of Inter, since the organization doesn't require certain things from the players that I think should be required. It all starts with the played games bonuses, goals scored bonuses and shit like that. Zlatan says perfectly in his book how he didn't want any of that shit in his contract (don't know if he demanded to stop that kind of shit altogether) and only bonus should be won games and of course won championships and such.

The whole organization is responsible for the current situation where there's not enough passion in the team. Lack of fighting and lack of cohesion in the team is a big problem for me as a fan and novadays I watch Inter occasionally, when it fits my other plans. Some day it was other way around.

Idk about you guys but I felt the spirit for the first time in a long time yesterday, Hernanes' goal actually made me stand up and scream. Thought we were going to win it honestly.

I started supporting Inter in 1987, age 9. As most of you know, Inter can be a passion, almost an obsession. I lived in Italy, near Milan, until I was 23. I have clear memories of going to school the day after an embarrassing defeat, or after Milan or Juventus had won another major trophy, getting teased by their fans, arguing with them, defending my team.

I remember moving to England and managing to connect with Inter fans through the forums. The worry before big games, especially against Milan and Juve, the almost physical sickness caused by it. The disappointments, the celebrations.

I remember listening to my ipod walking to work, or on the bus, daydreaming about Javier lifting the Champions league trophy. Ronaldo, the 5th of May, Mancini, the scudetto of justice, the Mancini cycle. The incredible Mourinho times, the victories against Chelsea, Barca. Bojan scoring for Barca and that second when I thought they broke our hearts again, before the goal was disallowed. Milito.

There was a sense of achievement for me after the treble that almost worried me. It was like thinking “we did it, it’s done, we can never outdo this, we can only match it”.

And then there’s now. So many Inter legends have stepped down. Moratti is gone. And for the first time EVER, I find myself not watching Inter games. It’s sad, but I just don’t feel the excitement. I don’t even shout when we score, like I’ve always done.

I’m not one of those fans that only supports the team when they’re winning, trust me, not me. But my Inter passion is sick. I need it back.

Does anybody else feel the same?
:`(
this man, this is me.. i love this club, but i don't like this club, not anymore, anyway.. and i fucking miss it. im not a gloryhunter, i could never love another club, the only thing i want to see is inter back at the top. and i know im always a whny bitch, but thats cuz im tired of our management repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

case in point, vdic. he was a terrible fucking signing. called it from the day we were linked to him. he is terrible and i know most still disagree and say shit like "its early", come may he'll be on the "gtfo list" like Camp..

yet come next june, we'll go do the same shit, and make another stupid signing. like why the fuck is coutinho not our player, but guarin is?

these truly are the darkest times.. because we're sending ourselves straight to mediocrity..not Juve, not the refs, but us..

definately agree about us being the problem

I wish Inter wasn't an Italian club, that we played in a more attractive and financially viable league.

I've seen darker. The only difference now, is that the football of Inter is arguably non exciting, in a league where tactics dominate everything and current players are not even miles close to what we used to have.

Playing only by tactics doesn't mean the team can't play exciting football though. Look at Roma, they're doing quite well for themselves + playing attractive football.

This season is 3rd season without CL. Also, the results and the way we play this season doesnt promise well for the future might as well miss next season's. Not to mention the huge losses in those kind of must-win-games like the one against Cagliari.

That's part of it, but also the opposition. Getting beaten by sides that have Maldini or Nedved is one thing, but now we're in a league which barely has any world class players. Being behind a Milan side which starts Muntari on a weekly basis? Being behind Sampdoria who plays Silvestre on a weekly basis? That shit is just laughable, and makes me question why I'm even watching.

First off, I like Batman posting in a thread named The Darkest Times :awyeah:

Secondly, we let go a lot of our old guard far too late and we were very dependant on them (like we are still dependant on Palacio when we do nothing the whole game). We will keep paying for it for a few more years, but I think we have a good enough squad to at least battle for the third spot (just add another defender and attacking player..).

I do agree that we don't play well at all under Mazzarri, and haven't played fun, watchable football since Leonardo. I don't see any reason why this team cannot bounce back, Kova still growing, Hernanes saying he is coming back to form, Osvaldo coming back.... I know Mazzarri isn't what Inter fans want, but I still want to give him this full season to set things right. I was saying 4th or 5th place is coming again this season, and I'm still standing by that statement. Not what we really want, but it's still something.

How is 4th or 5th something? I personally believe that playing in the EL is useless unless we've got a team capable of winning it. Playing in the EL just hurts a team's league position. This has been shown constantly across all the big leagues. Milan is currently showing the benefits of not playing in Europe and it's only a half dozen games into the season.

How saddening it is to go through this thread which is so true. I'm also missing games now as I know it just won't be that Pazza anymore or perhaps we have become accustomed to draws and losses. Winning is so difficult now and it makes us and us Interisti embarassing considering how all these non italian super heavy weights are doing. We no longer have players who have that spark, excitement (exc Kovacic) who'd make sure fans come to watch them Live or on tv.

Such passion is almost non existent now.

We were always right up there so the tension was there, if we got a red card in a big game, it made us sweat but now its like "no big deal as we'll lose anyway."

Why on earth would anyone want to follow Inter when their existing decade long fans are fading?

This thread is looking more true by the match. Even today's win doesn't feel like one. I can see them losing some of the most random games upcoming.
