Home ground / italian players

Inter doesnt really have many... do we have any up and coming players in the youth ranks or there any italians were looking at because dont we need like 6-8 of them for Champions league?

Matrix - Monaco is the rumor ... and have 2 40 year old keeper just cause they are italian is stupid because they are not cheap and never play....

Who will be our 4 club-trained players and 4 association-trained players for the next season?

Club-trained:

Balotelli
Bolzoni?
???
???

Association-trained:

Toldo
Orlandoni
Jimenez?

Balotelli will count as association trained, not club trained, he hasnt been in the youth system long enough to count as club trained.

It will most likely be like this:
Club trained - Orlandoni, bolzoni and 2 other youngsters.
Association trained - Balotelli, toldo, materazzi, Jimenez.

Is it four next season? I thought it was three, and that four is from 09/10 onwards.

True Mario will only count as home grown in season 2009/2010.

Ah, yes. Maybe it will be that way, that we have to keep Materazzi to fill the spots, otherwise we would sell him.

Orlandoni and Bolzoni count as both since they are italian AND are trained by the club. So they fill both spots.

No they dont....

And being italian has nothing to do with anything. If you count as homegrown or not has nothing to do with nationality.

They don't? Thought that every home-grown player counts as club trained and association trained.. Guess that's a mistake in FM then?
Well.. wouldn't be the first mistake.

And yeah I know that you don't have to be Italian to count as home-grown, that's why the likes of Adriano and Amauri are counted as association trained... My bad, I was writing fast and got it wrong.

Thread merged. I'm tempted of merging this one with the 6+5 thread as well. :D

Thats not really a point, that's just inter fans changing the name to argue against this point HATERS try to make. If what u said was a point, then wheres the team called Italianos or SoloNazionale?? haha. I really dont mind having one or 2 italian players on inter. To be honest, it pisses me off when people say we win cuz we have all foreigners or we are a disgrace. I think maybe one Italian on the national team would have the qualifications to start on this inter team. People may beg to differ but its my opinion. A majority of Argentinians and Europeans in general have italian roots. Just because someone wasn't born in the country they play in does not mean the team as a whole should be criticized. We are talking about a team dominating others, if anything it should motivate ITALIANS to be better players, since not many can play for the great inter milan.

Haha this was a bored post, it may be off topic but i'm just posting a reply haha.:lol:

Dude FM, does not make that mistake you just misinterpret it. Once a player spends 3 years at any club in a country between the years of 15-21 he gains association trained and/or club trained status.

Well. History of our team is builded on foreign players. We were once AC Milan, but the directors didn't agree on buying foreign players. Half of them wanted to play only Italians while other one wanted some foreigns. Those 2nd ones then have quit with Ac Milan and then created Inter, a team that respects foreign players.

I don't want to post off-topic in the forwards thread, so I'll just drop it here.

About italians: We don't need to sign italians, just because they are italians! They could be not good enough or not available. Also they are much more expensive, just because they are italians!
Remember how Fiorentina asked 25 mil for Toni, and now we signed Milito cheaper (I guess).

But in the forward department, I always remember we had at least 1 italian : Baggio, Ventola (lol), Vieri, etc! So now we have Balotelli for the future. I really like Cassano a lot and Rossi seems very good for his age!!!!
So in this particular case, I would take Cassano/Rossi over Eto'o/Drogba/Benzema/Villa.
But we are INTERNAZIONALE and we get cheaper players with better quality (that's why WE ARE CHAMPIONS 4th year in a row, not other ITALIAN teams ;) ).

But since we don't really need any of those players and Balotelli needs to play more than last season, we will probably sign Arnautovic and/or promote Napoli from Primavera Team. We will have Italians from our Youth Teams ;)

Fiorentina asked for 25 mil because they do not want to sale to rivals and because we are Inter. Should Juve or Milan be involved, they are more likely to lower their price.

We have been a lot better these days but we dont get cheaper players with quality. We usually overpays for them both in transfer fee and salaries. Juve were the one getting cheaper players with quality and they are trying to get back to that now.

We are Champion 4th year in a row thanks to Moratti!! Look at amount we spent compare to Milan and Juve for the past four years.
