Who are the best unachieved nation in the world?

I'm going with the mighty Holland...just think of all the greats that have came from Holland...Rijkaard,Guillet,Neeskins,van Basten,Cruyff, Ronald Koeman and all we've won is 1 Eurpoean cup in '88!!But we've got van der Vaart and Sneijder and Babel and Kuyt and stekelenburg all growing up now.

If you ask me, it's Argentina..

Redondo, Di Stefano, Maradona, Batistuta, Aimar...and only 2 World Cups.

Holland..ok...but to be honest, I believe for a country like that, they even overachieved. Argentina however had the best player ever, the best player of the 50ies and Redondo, who was in the 90ies under the top3..and they only have 2 World Cups. Talentwise and playerwise, they are very little less than Brazil.

But holland are yet to win a world cup, okay van Basten and all of them are not the in the best 3 players in the world(Pele,Maradona,Best) but i still think, all them greats and no world cup...

yes..but for the simple fact that a country of Holland's size has produced so many great players IMHO is quite an overachievement. Compare them with Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Belgium and other countries of their size and status. It's IMO incredible that they are that good at all.

Yeah I think that's what he means I also have to say Holland some of the players they have brought to the football world are amazing. But Holland were once European Champions so do they cound as under achievers?

Seriously though, England and Spain take the cake. Look at all the great players those countries have had and look at their success, or lack thereof; One World Cup and one Euro Cup between both of them. Wow....

The only reason you think England have the best individuals in the world is because in England/N.Ireland/Scotland/Wales and Rep of Ireland they are the most talked about and we get to see lots of matches and we hear it on the radio, but if we lived in Italy we'd think it would be Italy that have the best individual's...
