That's an unnecessarily rude response, as is typical for you.

While I agree that Inter is more at risk than Suning right now, it doesn't remove from the fact that there is a pretty important difference whether we are owned by Suning retail or Zhang, even if it leads to many of the same places.

Everything belongs to the CCP. The names are there just to put their signatures. Stop thinking the way you're thinking when it comes to Chinese enterprises.
Obviously the CCP is calling all the shots in the end as in nothing happens without their approval, and if they want something to happen it does.
Again the question is why have they not forced zhangs hand when it comes to inter like they did with suning? I mean it was the CCP that first encouraged investments into football and then all of a sudden made a U turn on foreign investments like that. I m sure zhang would instantly sell if the CCP/XI told him to do so but that did not happen jet despite sunings miserable finances and the CCPs stance on foreign investments.
I guess we can all agree that Zhang wont/cant stand in the way of the CCP. (as seen with BABA) As in the baba example they ve forced the hand of bigger/ more important billionairs.

It also has to be mentioned that it was reported when Zhang bought us that he and XI get along very well. So Zhang might still have some goodwill with XI and might still be able influence these decisions. Not unusual for dictators to play favourites with their buddies....

Compareed to other actions they have taken to "save" companies and reign in markets they seem to be very cautious/nice with the zhangs when it comes to Inter.

Ofcourse those other crackdowns were on more important players and Zhang was forced to help out Evergrande.

I m just saying that undecidedness of wether we will be sold or not does not seem like the CCP has yet made any decision on that and i doubt they care to much wether the "zhangs" get 1 bio or 600 mios.

Tbh it's probably because Inter is about the bottom of the list of shit they care about. A city worth like 700 billion (iirc) has just come out of two month lock down, they're trying to push a zero COVID policy still, the war in Ukraine puts a lot of tension on them to work out how to play it intelligently politically, etc etc

Inter is now self financing (through sales to be clear), has no impact on any Chinese jobs really, is irrelevant in the political landscape, even putting 30 seconds into thinking about Inter is irrelevant. It's basically a billionaires sons hobby.

Ofcourse if you look at it this way but it s not like the same people in the ccp that are responsible for Covid/ Ukraine are responsible for economic decisions.
We know that the CCP already got involved in suning as in they already intervened in the leadership of suning last year. Suning employes or atleast in 2019 employed 250k+ so it s not like a bankruptcy of them would have no consequences. And again inter is probably their biggest asset outside of china where selling it will have no effect on the business of suning other than give them additional cash to move through these hard times.

I would agree with you if the CCP was not already involved in suning and got involved even more since suning is struggling. Again i cannot phantom that the guys from the CCP who take care of suning have not looked at inter and what they could possibly get out of it for suning.
Even if suning does only have 10% interest in inter.

Yes it s probably not on Xi s priorities list but somebody in the CCP is looking at it.

That all being said of course the CCP can save suning without touching inter as you cannot go bankrupt if they finance you.
My point is it s atypical seeing how they handled other billionairs and it s also weird considering their current stance on foreign investments such as Inter..

Well, look at Russia as a good example of how these kind of governments run their decision making :D they're highly, highly centralised.

Not gettig into politics but Russias political landscape is a lot different from china.
Anyways you cant have it both ways and say Inter does not matter to suning (CCP) and at the same time say that the highest ranks in the ccp are gonna decide on it.

Also the directive from the top has been quite clare from some time as in that they dont want their billionaires to spend money on frivoulous stuff any more especially not outside of china.....
It s also been quite clear from their actions that they dont want suning to fail....

I dont disagree, but where you've got a party that is scared of one guy, a lot of decisions end up being passed to them to manage that would otherwise be done by responsible administrators TBH, for fear of fucking up and getting penalised for it.

Yeah, I guess CCP's attitude towards Inter is that Suning can continue to own us as long as they (and other Chinese companies) don't invest a penny more from China. That is why investments and sponsorships have both dried up.

Not sure why Suning are not selling Inter, surely they see the value decreasing with every additional debt. It could be a shrewd move because they may have some insider knowledge about CCP's plans, or it could even be something as silly as Inter being Zhang Jr's plaything. We just don't know. Whatever it is, its hurting Inter. Badly.

It's not about value, it's about prestige. In China.

Selling Inter is a defeat. At any cost. They don't care about the valuation.
Keeping Inter is a sign of strength. They don't care about results or transfers or club finances.

We're a pawn in their domestic politics and we have to get used to it. And we need to stop rationalizing their intentions based on what a normal investor would do. They're not "normal". They're part of a government and they have an agenda.

The only way they sell is if they're pressured. By many stakeholders.

Chinese business model is simple. low investment towards to get maximize profit. as long as $USD 1-2 bio offer comes, inter will be sold soon. Suning are desperate because COVID-19 outbreak really devastate suning business.

That is so not true. If Inter get a big offer, my guess is that you will see Suning jump on it like they jumped on that Lukaku deal.

Maybe what you are saying holds true for selling at a loss.

It's a defeat if they sell and don't get the 1bn they value the club at.

hope our new owner must make us self-sustainable and competitive in Europe, dinosaur players should not allowed, old and overpaid should not allowed too, and please promote your youth guys to starting XI every season.
