I don’t really know Investcorp. Is it a consortium? What can we expect from such owners? Can we expect something like PIF with Newcastle or are they more something like the Americans?

They don't need to be like PIF or any other sugardaddys. They just need to know how to properly run a football club. Set a proper strategy, find the right coach, buy and sell the right players, invest in the primavera team and our scout team. The plan should be thinking long term and having a sustainable system that don't turn the club into a mess for the sake if winning one Scudetto every 10 years!

I read from the other thread that we are betting all on Conte. That is the absolute opposite of the "sustainable" system that you want.

Atleast Conte is serial winner, can guarantee Scudetto/two stars that Inter fans want, better coach over Inzaghi (by wasting 500 millions anyway)

When Milan were linked with them Italian media claimed Milan were going to have 300m transfer budget. Now they are linked with Inter we will probably read they want to implement an Atalanta model

According Italian journalist Marco Bellinazzo, there is a chance for Italian takeover:
"Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Nerazzurra, via FCInterNews, the journalist from Italian business newspaper Radio Nerazzurri addressed the rumours that there could be an Italian takover of the Nerazzurri on the cards.

Whilst there have been no shortage of rumours regarding a possible sale of Inter from Suning to new owners, these have tended to concern US-based buyers, or even the Saudi sovereign wealth fund the PIF.
Less common have been rumours that a sale to Italian owners could be in store.
However, former Inter President Ernesto Pellegrini has mooted the idea, and according to business journalist Bellinazzo, it should not necessarily be dismissed out of hand.

“The situation at Inter is particular,” the journalist."
"There is interest in a club that has a lot of potential, but which is going through a difficult period for a lot of reasons,” he continued.

“The idea of an Italian takeover is intriguing but at the moment the financial commitment that would be required to not just take over the club buy also guide it out of debt would be considerable,” he went on.

“At the moment, the few Italian entrepreneurs who can afford it are not interested.”

“[Claudio] Del Vecchio would be wealthy enough to acquire the club all on his own without a consortium, the same can be said of [Ernesto] Beratrelli,” Bellinazzo continued.

“I was thinking of these names, although for now their interest in buying the club is not there,” he saidthe saidt said.
Then, a lot would depend on what Steven Zhang wants, he wants to keep control, he’s happy being in charge, but there are real financial and political problems that he must deal with.”

Yeah that's the never ending problem with this club. We won't fix problems, we repeat them.

The Bahraini fund InvestCorp is interested in acquiring Inter Milan. Representatives of the fund are now actively looking for investors, mainly within Bahrain, who could join a consortium to acquire the club.
This is not the first time InvestCorp has turned its attention to Italian football. Last year, InvestCorp tried to acquire AC Milan and also considered buying Inter Milan. But then the Bahraini investors were scared off by the €1.2 billion price tag that the Chinese owners from the Zhang family put on Inter.
InvestCorp hopes that the Zhangs' financial problems will force them to compromise on the price of Inter. In recent days, the media has also reported on the plans of an Italian consortium to buy Inter and buy the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.

Very "serious" buyer. They are interested to buy Inter, but they do not have money. Now, they put an add in newspaper all around the World, looking for investors. What we than can expect regarding investing in players, stadium...?

Don't have one.
Well at this point I have a feeling only something catastrophic like missing on cl will make zhang consider selling, the pressure would be unbearable.

If we make cl then I expect zhang staying and marotta and ausilio to make a bunch of more deals like acerbi, mkhi and dzeko in an effort to milk whatever quality we currently have left, so we can continue our "winning" cycle.

If thats the case I really hope we miss CL. If Suning stay this suffering will continue. Hope these Bahraini dudes snatch us, they have money to make us competent again and bring Simeone as coach.

To be honest i dont think the Zhangs care that much wether we do or dont make the CL...
Imho they re just holding out for as much money as they possibly can which of course one would assume they get more for a CL club, but if somebody puts up the money they ll sell either way.
The thing that baffles me is that those 1.2 bio is a totally delusional fucken request, plus i m sure the CCP aint happy about hat the Zhangs are doing here...
Then again i suspect their still in good grace with Xi otherwise they d have gotten the Jack Ma treatement a loong fucken time ago and inter would be sold.

Just so many question marks around this whole story and nothing makes any sense since the super league fell through...
Like back then it made sense to wait and hope that it gets done so they can sell the club for a lot more. But the moment that shit fell through they should have cut their losses and sold...

Also side note lol at Investcore not having enough money go ahead and google their AUM and then come talk...

50billion AUM they'd be fools to buy Inter. Inters running losses is like 0.3-0.5% a year, straight off their profit margin. If you're paid on performance, buying Inter is probably one of the worst decisions you can make as all your other investments need to compensate
