Interesting interview with Zilliacus over at Sempreinter.

Dude sounds like he actually is a fan of the game and has some ideas about the business side as well.

he is neither, fan of the game, knows nothign of the business side nor does he have money. Dunno why we keep discussing this attention whore.

It's true that I don't like Zhang and the horrible debt, if a Saudi owner comes and starts being too involved (like in PSG), it might be the end of this Inter era.

Altho I really want the debt to be gone :(

Yeah, Mohammed bin Salman said Saudi Arabia doesn't care if it's labeled "sportwashing" as long as it increases the GDP and the aquiring of tournament fixtures is a way to diversify the economy and help. making Saudi Arabia a top 10 tourist destination. This In a Guardian article and interview on Fox News reported yesterday.

to be honest, with such a fiscal cliff so close for the club, I'd almost be tempted to suggest that smart buyers will wait for it to actually hit. I'm not sure what the incentive would be to buy BEFORE the default, rather than after.

It’s a Saudi Arabia, UAE or Qatar buyers we are talking about, I don’t really think they care all that much for a few saved pennies if their goal is to get yet another club in another European top league, it’s long been a wish for them to get an Italian team of certain pedigree.

I honestly don’t care if any of these countries purchase our club, makes no difference too me, I’m out in any case. I can’t see myself supporting any sports team with that sort of owners. They are the poison of modern football and I will be earths biggest hypocrite if I don’t take the consequences of my year long criticism of said people purchase of other European clubs.

I don't believe it until it's official. We have heard about such rumors too many times. Way too many times.
What do you don't believe?

These are rumors and most probably they are true. In a sense that there are instances interested in buying Inter. There have been many during the recent years. Nothing have realized in terms of actual sale but it isn't about believing or not. Sale is still far away but the rumors of interested buyers are easily believable.

I really do not like, that Inter became new PSG. They look for me like "train station". Players come and go. They come only for money. They do not care about club history, fans, tradition... Clubs like PSG does not have a heart, soul... Money is important, but there is something more than only money, money...

Mikele we won’t be run the way PSG and City are run, I think you need to look at Newcastle this is most likely what you will see in terms of investment

There very strong rumours of some middle eastern take over but it’s not yet clarified if it’s SA, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain or Kuwait buyers but should be from one of those countries.

sure, if you believe tuttosport and cds.

The report is also linked to none sports news with insights in Rain Group that was leaked a year ago, I think there is a good probability in the truth in that there is an interest especially as there some indications Rain Group are looking out for new investors. They helped other teams before in finding new investors, so it’s not unlikely to actually be true as they have contacts in said region.

again, at the risk of getting another infraction, you guys are idiots if you saw what PIF did for Newcastle, and still think "Saudi will ruin us".

1. I don't think they will be actively managing (rather get a partner in a JV and let them handle it. If the partner has any common sense, they'll leave it to Marotta to handle stuff).
2. We wouldn't be anywhere under as much financial pressure. We have such a winning formula that just needs a wee bit of $$ infusion.
