Well shit... After their first year in charge I never thought things could end this way for you guys. I mean the crisis isn't exactly their fault as Covid-19 really really hurt them but their stubbornness in not selling the club could be fatal. After what Yonghong Li did to us I certainly feel your pain. The real silver lining is that Inter simply HAS to be sold soon. Let's hope a suitable buyer arrives quickly. As much as I hate Inter it is an historic club and Serie A needs it.

It’s the year of 2022 already, no one in the Moratti family is getting filthy rich yet?

Zhang is clearly happy, dude dodges the bullet to fork out 30m++ for Bremer. Now, let's lower down Skriniar offer to 40m and make him and PSG more happy. Broke and sick owner

Ah, the 'never use your own money when investing' method. Just that in this case he probably doesn't have really have a substantial amount of his own money anyway and it was always going to be a shitshow down the line because Inter is a moneysink.

The family has lost over €2b in fortune since COVID hit.
The CCP has forced them to sell a majority stake in the company they started.
Zhang refused to recall a €2b loan to Evergrande
Creditors are now going after the family.

They have no choice but to sell. I suspect something with Oaktree will be next.
This is not entirely correct zhang was forced not to recall the 2bn Loan to evergrande...

Also the situation financially in china seems to be getting really dire reports of creditors of Evergrande who have not been paid now stopped paying their creditors cause why the fuck not....

While the financial situation in china has been deteriorating the writing on the wall for suning was there at least since covid hit, and it has been obvious that they need to sell for some time yet nothing.... That is despite the official stance of the CCP is to divest from such frivolous things like a football club for some time now.

See you nitpick for what reason?

The CCP told Suning to recall the loan, in which Zhang refused to do so which caused a cascading effect of them forcing him out of the Suning Board. The CCP took control of both companies...

Well cause it makes no sense and is not true according to everything i read about this deal...
Why on earth would the CCP want Zhang to call the loan on Evergrande? This would have lead to much more troubled at Evergrande then they already have and the CCP does not give a shit to suning when compared to Evergrande, Evergrande is the one to big to fail not Suning...
It does not change much but the CCP sure as shit did not want him to recall that loan...

If Suning still here, we always start our transfer window with minus.

Here we go again: waiting on the green light from Suning to invest 15-20 million for Milenkovic.

The Dybala and Bremer deals collapsed because Suning did not give the authority for our management to proceed. It looks like the same thing is happening again.

We can only hope so. A Suning veto of Milenkovic will save Marotta from himself.

Zhang riding around Milan in high class cars while we are waiting word from him and papa for deals lol this shit is getting old and we look so pathetic. We should be able to go for another title which will bump up the value. Give us all a Christmas present and sell to a company that has actual money to spend!

I think my biggest problem with Suning is the lack of a coherent plan. I would be fine with an approach of balancing our books and making our club financially sustainable moving forward. However, what are they doing to accomplish that? They're not even trying to build a stadium, likely because they don't have borrowing ability to finance one. Our commercial sponsorship revenue plummeted this season and we've failed to replace Pirelli with a legitimate kit sponsor. So, what exactly is the plan to improve our finances long term?

I'm all about paying down this club's massive debt load, but how are we going to accomplish that? Selling marquee players every summer will set us on a different path to financial ruin - one where were aren't earning additional revenue from winning the league or qualifying for the UCL, because the squad is eroded.

Yeah exactly. They talk about sustainability but also about trophies. Management is of course doing in their best ability for success. At least person like Marotta is not here to rebuild, Ausilio could be because he's long serving Inter guy.

What I mean is if the order from the ownership is to rebuild, total financial independence, we wouldn't see Marotta here. But that's not the order. Order is to be somewhere on the fence, downsizing but also getting success, at least enough to stay in the CL. And that's the thin spot the management is scrambling. And they are doing what they know. Signing veterans since coach wants some of them, because coach has his targets (coming all the way down from the Zhangs). It's shortsighted but it's not like management cares about long term. Their contracts are atm 3 years long. They just want to fulfill their own targets.

It all comes down to the ownership and what they want. Like well put above, they don't seem to have a good plan what they really want and specially how to get there.

They do not appear to have a good plan because their plans are largely determined by the Chinese Communist Party. How can Suning plan in advance and set goalswhen the environment in which they are operating (political and financial) is highly volatile and subject to the whims of the Chinese Government?

If ever there was an ownership model that was flawed and at loggerheads with running a football club, then we are no doubt living and enduring it.
