Secretly hoping after the ink has barely dried in new stadium documents, they sell the club.

Don't have one.
Yeah, this really seems like watching slow motion of a car heading straight into a brick wall.

Hopefully some kind of common sense prevails with Zhang, although I highly doubt common sense is the thing that will determine this stuff, coz if he had used a common sense we would already have new owners.

I'm afraid we'll have to reach some kind of negative milestone for zhang to sell.

Has suning defaulted on a loan of 200M? And if so, what happens to Inter - With borrowing money to keep things afloat, sooner or later you have to pay these debts and with interest.

With that in mind, what is Oaktree like? Do they have other assets in the sporting environment? It would be scarey being owned by a hedge fund - Cut costs, milk sales and sell

It doesn't look like they've invested in any other sporting groups. If they do take the club over we'll be run similarly to Milan I guess.

I don't think there's a scenario in the near future, no matter the owner, where we aren't a cut costs/selling club.

Yes they have but back in september 21.... But since these are mostly chinese creditors i dont see the risk to Inter or lets say the risk is minimal...
That all being said english material on Chinese financials are hard to come by and i might have missed some things.
How it stands and how i understand it this is not a problem atm as this has partially been solved by Suning not calling back those 200 mio evergrande owns them.....Calling that credit to evergrande was the only way fro suning to pay back that loan on time but no way the CCP would allow that...
The outcome was that the Zhangs lost control of Suning and the CCP and Baba got heavily involved...
Again not all detail to that deal is available in english and the ones that can be found are not all giving the same info.....
But from what i could gather that immediat Default was held of by not calling the evergrande loan and by the CCP and Baba getting involved...
Some sources do claim that it only gave suning a 18 months grace period though.....
As far as i know oaktree does not have any other sporting assets that being said we re also not listed as one of their portfolio companies...
Might be that they have other sports assets in their credit division....

On selling when we sign the new stadium deal when the fuck is that supposed to happen? We re talking about this since the early 2002 and in 20 years we ve made 0 progress....
Also getting the financing for such a project would be alot easier for a new owner then i t would be for our current owners ....
Also as networkz said we d probably be run the bbilan way or just be flipped instantly...
Not sure how much money oaktree put up in total for us but i d guess they d make a pretty decent profit just truning around and selling us for 500 mio...

Ex-Strategy & Development Manager Of Aramco Vincenzo Grittano: “There Was No Interest In A Football Club, PIF Talked About Inter & Others In Italy”

The former strategy and development manager of Aramco in Saudi Arabia has talked about how there was no interest from Aramco in buying a football club but PIF considered Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi on the Sport Mediaset YouTube channel, via FCInter1908, Vincenzo Grittano took questions on Saudi Arabian money making its way into Italian football.

He first talked about how the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia had talked about buying Inter or perhaps one of AC Milan and Napoli and information was passed around about Inter by American bank Goldman Sachs.

“PIF-Inter? There have been approaches, there has been talk in Saudi Arabia about Inter as well as Milan and Napoli. Certainly dossiers in the hands of Goldman Sachs have been passed around among potential investors.

“Probably the matter was closed because of the debt situation of the clubs and perhaps also because of the demands of the sellers. To my knowledge, at the moment there are no investments planned in Italy.”

PIF ended up buying Newcastle United in the Premier League instead and have funnelled money into the club.

Aramco is the state-owned oil company of Saudi Arabia and they have been linked with buying Inter through that vehicle. Vincenzo Grittano said he knew nothing about these plans.

“Aramco? I worked there from 2011 to 2021 and as far as I know there is no interest in buying a football club. It would only buy assets in the oil sector, it will never make such investments.”

How to stay competetive in todays football when you lose important player every fkn mercato. Look at other clubs, every mercato they constantly upgrade squad. Keeping same ol turds like DeVrij and bringin out of form reject doesnt help isnt it?

I really respect your opinion browha, and i personally don't want to start a long discussion, but
Yes they have dismantled the squad , they sell hakimi and lukaku after the scudetto winning season , they can't invest, they could have a start a winning cycle but didn't have the resources to do so
I'm a firm believer that if you want to build a proper team that can challenge title, you need to invest wisely
The team was screaming for reinforcement but suning can't do nothing about it
I totally understand their situation and will be absolutely okay if they sell inter right after winning scudetto but they kept draging on without proper explanation

Im not asking for a sugar daddy type of owner , im only wish the next owner will be the type of owner that are willing to invest wisely and while working toward a self sustainable club

You do not need to reply this browha, and I really respect your opinion, and I'm only wanted to voice my concern, good day and have a nice week

I think this year vs last year we've hardly been dismantled, we lost one important player but he's also a very expensive one and quite old and would ultimately need replacing at some point in time. You need to continually invest in the squad to keep yourself developing.

I'd argue Milan are worse this year htan last year, with Kessie out, for example.

are we still selling or what
maybe, but according to many reports not until we have a -20million to 0 deficit in current balance
yet our long term loans are +600mil but we lack clarifications in terms how the long term loans will be paid (assuming we will pay 50 million per year, it will take us 12 years!)
so until the sunning manages the current balance they will have a better profitability once they sell the club

or we should wait for ACMILAN/CHEALSEA forced selloff.

Realistically speaking suning does not have time or the resources for that.... They d probably default on their oaktree loan long before that....
Like if suning plans t get us profitable before they sell then fuck me cause thats one huge fucken hail marry...

One other problem is that the writing is kind of on the wall unless we find a new sugar daddy or huge sponsor out of nowhere, unless that happens Oaktree is gonna end up with the club and they already said they ll sell right away and for a lot less than 1 bio.
SO it might also be that potential buyers are just waiting out suning as they could get the club at a discount from oaktree.

Edit: Also in terms of debt we re not planning to pay that all off we re just gonna role it. we might bring it down from the current 700 mio but we sure as hell aint gonna pay off all of it.

Evidently, it is not just the fans that are trying to wait out Suning.
