I'm not very pissed he went to a rival team- the guy wants to make a career for himself; he's gotta do what he's gotta do

If anything I'd be more upset as Bologna- feels like he walked away from them; brought them to 3rd place, will be in CL next season...only for him to bounce out

Clearly he connected with that team- what's their morale now that their guy walked out

Personally not angry at him for this move. Don't care that much apart from the fact that it's not good they are getting decent coach.
If it was Cambiasso for example...that's another story. But he would never go there.

If he continue to behave like this season in our matches against Bologna and he pretends to be biggest Juventino in the town that will for sure make many more people angry.

Personally, I remember Motta more for 2010/2011 season than for 2009/2010. Not that he didn´t do great in the Treble Year (his goal against Milan and through pass assist to Milito in Coppa final were absolute class), but in 2010/2011 him and Eto'o were the two players who really helped us avoid turning that season into a total disaster. I gotta give it to Motta for staying composed while the rest of the Treble-winning team was absolutely crumbling into pieces.

I remember Motta more for the 2011/12 season when almost everybody wanted to see him gone.

This guy was two and a half year at our club and made about 80 games. Now he has the chance for a huge career step and train one of the biggest clubs in his country. He would be stupid to not take that chance.

Ps: Fuck Juventus.

Who wanted him gone? Anyone with decent eyes could see that he was our best midfielder at that moment

It's not the best news right now, especially given our situation (always feels like we can't enjoy things for too long). If thiago wants to go fine whatever, I figure he's also leaving because bologna will get rid of players and motta won't want to stick around with a diminished squad.

That's an interesting point. Sure Juve as a club is way bigger than Bologna, but is joining them this season the best decision? Bologna did finish above Juve, and Motta already has a working system there. Maybe him staying at Bologna for another year and give it a try at the CL which he's earned is better than joining a mess like Juve where a lot need to be cleaned.

Nah. Not even close. I loved Motta at Inter and i even own a 2009/10 Motta jersey. But his status at Inter was never close to the one of Conte at Juventus. Motta was just a good player of our treble squad who stayed for couple seasons at the club. He never showed any attachment to the colours.

The equivalent of Conte coming to Inter would be Materazzi coaching Juventus.
Yepp. I'm not shocked at all for Motta going there, it's actually the optimal moment for him to take over. It's a great chance for Motta to confirm on a bigger stage and unfortunately I have a feeling that he will have results.

He will also reportedly earn a salary around 5M - 5.5M/year, so why not? It's a job after all.

exactly I think he'd be better regarded if he stayed an extra year, improve the system, and see how far he'd go with that team instead of moving right away like this. Gasperini didn't leave Atalanta when they made the UCL now look at them. Simeone persisted with Atletico. Inzaghi is working for us. Etc etc

The way I look at it too is that motta's team had only the campionato to play in, the promise of ucl next year (and players being noticed by top teams) spurred on them on.

Let's see how they fare by november/december having to play in multiple competitions. I think they go 4th and crash out of europe.

I think a lot of the hype with motta is that they did have a great year, but again, only serie a and coppa italia to play for. Forget about first game 2-2 (lautaro gave away pk that changed the game) or coppa italia (again no ucl for them, we had many games at that point), we had them in the 2nd game and beat them.

I think motta is good but maybe overhyped a bit imo. Idk we'll see. I think he will be better than allegri but juve's team isn't anywhere near ours and imo isn't going to do something special right away anyway. Idk we'll see.

Worried about this deal with Juve, I was hoping he moved to premier league instead. Oh well hope all the worst for him in Juve

"I am really happy to start a new chapter at the helm of a great club like Juventus. I thank the owners and management who can be sure of my ambition to fly the Juventus flag high and I know I will satisfy the fans," Motta said after signing the contract.

Fuck you.
