I think Juve is the most talented team in the league, Napoli play the best football, but we're probably the team that is best at picking up results while playing badly or getting outplayed (which is often a quality which title winning sides have).

Lol at winning the title, no team in the history of calcio "I just checked in stats" has bought full new board of starting 11 and won the league in the first year.

Being on top right now does not mean that we have a good chance of winning scudetto, it only means that we are closer to qualifying to CL.

Dont get your hopes up, we have other teams who are better equiped and have been building way before we start fixing our problems, they've had the same coach and the same backbone of their respective teams way before we got Mancini. It is not how you start it's how you finish, and these elements Ive just mentionned will show you the difference by the last 10 weeks of the marathon.

i dont get why the holding back?

No team is much better than us, if they have a better player in midfield, we have two better ones in attack, if they have a good GK, w have beast CB... There is no team much better than us, id say on paper Roma with their midfield, but from the games in serie a and CHL their midfield just sounds good as an IDEA, but it is nothing really great in reality. As for Napoli, cant see them as a threat for the first place, they are the same team for years now, and still kinda suck, or rely on higuain too much, whereas we - Montoya can win us the game for all we know against Lazio.

We have a solid team, we have yet to see the real side of kdog in the midfield. If this scenario so far hasnt made you a belieber, i seriously dont know what will. We are 4 points clear the second place, which means we can play with our primavera side one game of choice, and still be first, so that takes tons of pressure of...

This is the year guys.

I keep hearing this "Napoli plays the best football" but I've seen nothing special every time I've watched them. Juventus plays pretty crappy football as well even if they can still be considered the most quality side overall, coupled with being experienced now as well.

Inter is first simply because as others suggested, no other team is much better really. Some have better quality in places but the level of the Seria A is pretty low in general.

Technically one half season consists of 19 games. But since the 18th (vs Empoli) and 19th (vs Sassuolo) game are played in 2016, the last game before the holiday break is in fact against Lazio. I'm not sure though what the definition of a winter Champion is: Team with most points before winter break or the one with most points after 19 games. I would say it's the former.

Either way, you're wrong because you forgot Empoli :p

VKvuN3W.jpg

The definition of the winter's Champion says: the team had more points than all, at the end of first half of season, so after 19 games.

Its true, first they win against Inter (with a bit luke) then a loose against bologna and at last a lucky 0-0 draw tbh. They cant win every game and thats the reason why they dont win the scudetto.

Juve plays much better football and are improving every game. Same thing as Fiorentina, but Fiorentina needs more world class players like Valero Rodriguez and Kalinic. The defense is really shit compared to Juve and Inter.

Serie A is really low yes, thats true. Only think about how fucking Lazio got in Champions League last year. Everytime i ask me: WTF? How much did Lotito pay for it? Or are all clubs really shit?

I think that Fiorentina is the team that plays the most watchable football in the league. Its like they dont care about the result, they just want to play their own game.

Milan is the perfect example,I think they would relegate in 1 league out of Bundesliga,Premier League and Primera. Yet they are 7th in Serie A.

Napoli were average as hell yesterday, but they play the best football on average. They outplayed Juventus and Fiorentina. They outplayed us until they got all nervy after we scored with 10 men. Also, apparently you didn't watch them destroy Lazio by 5 goals, or Milan by 4 goals? In the Europa league they've scored 22 goals and conceded 2. In most of the games they've dropped points in they were outplaying their opposition quite comprehensively (Perin was MoM for Genoa against them. Samp were incredibly lucky with their draw, I didn't watch their Carpi game, Bologna hit them on the counter)

Fiorentina do play very nice football too. Their players work very hard for each other, but they lack difference makers in my opinion (bernardeschi wil be one eventually).

Just read it's been almost 10 years since a team was top of the table at the winter break and didn't win the league? ;)

Serie A level is pretty low when you compare with 20 years ago or even 10 years ago, that there is no doubt. But make no mistake, this is the highest quality Serie A in the last 4 seasons. Juventus had no competition in the last few years, and while they are rebuilding this season and are still the best squad, the other big teams have caught up to some extent. Fiorentina are much better than last year. So are Napoli. And Inter. Roma & Milan have also strengthened the squad even though they are yet to show it on the pitch.

Milan is the perfect example,I think they would relegate in 1 league out of Bundesliga,Premier League and Primera. Yet they are 7th in Serie A.

:wallbang2:

There is a fine line between making fun of Bbilan and being deluded. To say you crossed that line would be an understatement.

I don't know how much of EPL, Bundesliga or La Liga you watch, but IMO Serie A has reduced the gap in quality this season rather than lagged further behind.

They qualified because they had a bit of luck, few injuries, great form from their key players, and the fact that their opposition for those spots were all in Europe for an extended period.

Likewise we're benefiting from an easier schedule than our rivals this season

Bluenine, I do think Mancini has done a fine job. Where do I write the opposite?

You don't agree with me that he has had more money to deal with than Strama and Mazzari?

That is what I wrote. Money often means you can get better players which Mancini for sure has got to buy for. This has benefitted the whole team compared to the shit teammates Kovacic had to play with for most of the time here. The players you mentioned were either in their later periods of their career or they got skipped away a half year after Kovacic arrived.

I didn't wrote that Mazzari and Strama weren't supported enough. It is a straw man argument from your side
Imo Mancini were simply given the better players. We used to buy shit like Taider, Schelotto, Belfodil, Mudingayi, Zarate etc., players that had nothing to do with Inter, now they finally bought us real players. And Mancini is the better coach too, especially Mazzarri was a joke.
Now whether we spent more or less money I don't know by heart, if you say it was more I'll believe you.

PS: Kovacic = overrated

Mancini - Nov. 14, 2014

Garcia - June 12, 2013
Allegri - July 16, 2014
Sarri - June 11, 2015
Sousa - June 21, 2015

Really? Sarri and Sousa were hired almost a year AFTER Mancini, Allegri was hired 4 months before Mancini and Garcia (who is actually doing the worse out of all of these guys) was hired a mere 17 months before Mancini. You make it sound like these teams all have an Alex Ferguson at the helm.
