This has started already with mighty clubs such as The New Saints or Crusaders advancing to the 2nd qualifying round.

The 2nd qualifying round will see teams like Celtic, Dinamo Zagreb, Partizan, Stjarnan (remember them), Qarabag (them too). The games will be play July 14 and the 21st.

I don't want to see any club other than Inter lifting the trophy in the Meazza. Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea.. none of them. I'd be fine with Atletico but that's probably it.

If this was in England, he'd be a laughing stock right now.

Some bookies are giving Chelsea the same odds as Barcelona. Seems like some people believe the Mourinho factor will kick in and have them reach a cl final next year. I doubt it.

On Friday 7 August, the playoff round draw will take place in UEFA headquarters in Nyon with the inclusion of teams like Man United, Lazio, Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen and Sporting.



The games will be played on 18/19 and 25/26 August.

Seeded: Manchester United, Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen, (Shakhtar Donetsk*, Ajax*)
Unseeded: Sporting Lisbon, Lazio plus three other teams from the third qualifying round decided today and tomorrow.


*If either Shakhtar or Ajax fail to make the play-off round, Sporting will be seeded.
*If both Shakhtar and Ajax fail to make the play-off round, Sporting and CSKA** will be seeded.
**If Shakhtar, Ajax and CSKA fail to make the play-off round, Sporting and Lazio will be seeded.
