I thought Real did better especially in the first half and deserved their win. Atletico was not their usual self today. Probably because they had to chase the game from the beginning.
However, looking at the whole tournament, Real winning the cup seems underwhelming. No matter how you see it, the finale was meant for Atletico and especially Simeone to finally win the UCL.

2010 - Mourinho
2011 - Guardiola
2012 - Roberto Di Matteo
2013 - Jupp Heynckes (Yes he has won it before, but I don't think he was ever considered a regular/consistent world class coach)
2014 - Ancelotti
2015 - Rookie Luis Enrique
2016 - Rookie Zidane

Just wanna point out that 5 of the last 8 CLs were won by non-established/common/household world class coach.

Oh Griezmann, Juanfran :( Oblak you fuck, at least try.

Such an undeserving CL win. Oh well. Bad luck. And refs help too.

If aliens came to planet Earth and demanded a human to sacrifice, I would nominate Pepe first.

 look at Clattenburg's reaction to his dive:

Well, I think if someone deserved it, it was Real. Atletico didn't do much in that match.

edit. And if your goalie is like Oblak, you can't seriously expect to win a cup competition. He managed to dodge one bullet already as PSV-Atletico in Round of 16 went to penalties (didn't save any shots there) so now it was only expected that they'll lose.

The more I think about Barcelona's second penalty, the more it pisses me off. I understand when a ref makes a mistake, but one thing is to make a random mistake, which will randomly help one of the two teams, a whole other thing is "feeling the charm" of the most powerful side. Which is exactly what happened. It's an unforgivable mistake, that referee should never be allowed anymore to set foot on the pitch of an important match.

I think Heynckes was fairly established in Germany at that point, I think only Di Matteo doesn't deserve to be there since he's in the Championship or unemployed now.

At that point?:D He was fairly established in Germany in the 1980s itself with his spells at Prussia Moenchengladbach and Bayern Munich.By 2013 Heynckes was a managerial heavyweight imo.

Yeah, that year Bayern won with Heynckes was one of the most beautiful football I've seen. They had it all. Very entertaining.

Leicester to win, Rubentus to win, Monaco to advance, Atletico to demolish Leverkusen.

I'd be surprised if Leicester went through, Sevilla don't concede many and have a magnificent away record. Can see them winning 2-0.

To win, not necessarily to go through. 1-0 will do. Sevilla has played 2 games in the league (both draws with Leganes 3 days ago & Alaves) whereas Leicester hasn't played since March 4th. They beat Hull and Liverpool after Ranieri's sacking both 3-1. I've seen those Sevilla games, they were piss poor in both. Leicester will have home crowd & away goal advantage, plus it's their first time in the competition so they'll be motivated highly.
