I don't really agree that Juve were better in the first half. Juve were better for the first fifteen minutes. The second Ronaldo scored the first goal, they didn't threaten at all (minus the Mandzukic miracle).

5 goals in a UCL final is entertaining when the result is 3-2. When it's 4-1, that means a team was simply outclassed.

Hahahaha never read so many funny posts on this forum. Through out this year I've become a fan of Italian teams in UCL to absolutely hating Juve for what happened in Serie A. This transition made these comments absolute gold :D

I know people like using CL as a chance to bash Serie A or whatever, but if Rube went the entire CL campaign with only conceding 3 goals, beat Barca 3-0 home, and conceded 0 goals in 2 legs vs. Barca, they had every chance to beat Real Madrid in a 90 minute game. I mean they DID beat a very similar Real Madrid 2 seasons ago. This is the 2nd time in 3 years they make the CL final.

That was nothing but pure choking in the 2nd half. They literally just gave up after the Casemiro goal. Cuadrado was sent off 14 minutes after going in.

Meh. I see what you're saying, but this was the worst Barcelona team in nearly a decade. It took a PSG choke job of Falcons' proportions for them to ever qualify for the QFs. Real went through Bayern, Atletico, and Napoli. Juve went through Porto, Barca, and Monaco.

It was a surprisingly mentally weak performance from Juve. I suppose teams may have less causes for optimism when they realize the entire football federation isn't conspiring to help them out.

I thought Allegri screwed this game up tactically, big time. Barzagli and Chiellini were simply too slow to keep up with Isco, Ronaldo, and Benzema. Any time a player darted out wide on Juve, the entire defense turned to shambles as they spread out. They needed four at the back.

Barcelona reminds me of Buffon and Casillas last years at Real Madrid.

Just because Barcelona have had a great 10 last years doesn't mean they are great now.

If you think about it we stopped Barca from winning the CL on Real's turf. They were obsessed with that. We also stopped Barca from winning two in a row and possibly a hatrick of CL's. So Real is just returning the favor.

Look at their front trio though. Messi, Neymar, Suarez. Not even Real has that individual quality upfront...

Any good team has a chance to reach finals once in a while, but Rube did it twice in 3 years. That's no coincidence.

Even when they got KO'ed by Bayern, they were leading by 2, and choked the last 15 minutes.

Problem with Barca is they have no midfield. Their attack is the best in the world. But Enrique decided to build their game based on relying what the front 3 do, and not focusing on the midfield.

Real, on the other hand, has the best midfield in the world. They also did an excellent job of resting Ronaldo and making sure he's ready for the big games. Barca, on the other hand play their front 3 in every game because their substitute is Paco Alcacer.

Jube tried for the first 6 minutes to get the goal and the tempo at first was ridiculous fast. I knew that it will slow down soon because there is no way you can keep that high tempo for over ten minutes. Then both teams were tired and tempo slowed below normal when players tried to cover them recover.

After that the game begin again and I saw that Madrid passed and moved the ball 1,5 times faster than Juve. Juve was too slow and Real's players were one notch better, too skillful to Juve to handle. I think Mandzukic's goal was little bit lucky, I think that will go in 2 times in 10 attempts but lucky or not it kept Juve into the game till they just couldn't keep up to Real's tempo.

I have seen majority of these CL (during this new competition name) finals and IMO this is probably the best CL winning team. They really played another level (what I have seen before) with how fast and skillfully they could move the ball. Definately deserved to win the cup, no doubt about it.

Do any of you follow Serpents of Madonnina on Twitter? He's an Inter blogger who works for SB Nation, which is a pretty massive blog network in the US

Anyway, the dude who runs the account (I believe he's Italian) tweeted this:

"just read through Football Italia's tweets from during the final last night. my god was that enjoyable."

Maybe he'll become what Rijkaard was at Barcelona, a lot of success in his time in Spain but unable to replicate it elsewhere.

Not that it will matter much, 2 CLs is more than enough to make him a legend, more than he already was.
