of course there is only Gladbach and Fercaonvewsagae left, ho do we get? Gladbach, and juve gets that shit team. Every year the same shit

If it's any consolation, by that point it was already pre-determined. Ferencvaros, theoretically, could've ended up anywhere, but two German teams were already in the E-H range (and, more importantly, the team Gladbach was "paired" with in Leipzig) so the only place Gladbach could've ended up was in Group B. So even if Ferencvaros had been the first team revealed, they would've been automatically assigned to Juve's group.

The only thing about Real is that they can dominate us with their press and possession play. But again, nothing to worry there since we have 12 points to take if we just play good ball and don't be cowards.

The Madrid I’ve seen so far actually worry me less then Shaktar and Borussia. I always fear for us against any team we play when we are the favorites but against Madrid I actually expect good performances.

With inter you just never know. We could easily win this group or come 3rd.

Real will beat us at least once, I'm sure of it. We'll also probably lose a dumb game to BMG or Shakhtar, you can bet your house on it.

This.

Can’t believe people are so confident we will top the group.
Just don’t get too stressed when it comes down to the last game!

We should be confident. Not over-confident, mind you know, that's a bad thing and I don't really think anyone is exhibiting that. But this is Conte's second year, so those who are still here from last year have more experience in his system, we finished 2nd domestically and went all the way to the Europa Final, and we brought in some guys who he specifically wanted as well.

We should have expectations and we should have confidence. Not qualifying from this group would be a failure. Might as well embrace that rather than run from it. We can't expect this team to ever win anything if we're always looking at things with trepidation and concern.

By the time we get Madrid (game 3 & 4), will be close to november. These teams that have these technical players, have a tendency to run us over. Even barca B ran circles around us.

So yeah, they may not be very potent up front at the moment, but i fully expect them to definitely run around us.

Another thing to remember is that the group stage is compressed this year. Usually it's one game every two weeks or so, but it's going to be a game every week (with an international break) mixed in.

Here's how our schedule looks:

MD 4: Milan - Oct. 17 - 18:00 CET

--Champions League MD 1--

MD 5: @ Genoa (weekend of Oct. 25)

--Champions League MD 2-

MD 6: Parma (weekend of Nov. 1)

--Champions League MD 3--

MD 7: @ Atalanta (weekend of Nov. 8)

--international break--

MD 8: Torino (weekend of Nov. 22)

--Champions League MD 4--

MD 9: @ Sassuolo (weekend of Nov. 29)

--Champions League MD 5--

MD 10: Bologna (weekend of Dec. 6)

--Champions League MD 6--

MD 11: @ Cagliari (weekend of Dec. 13)

And, for good measure, there's no week in-between games afterwards for the remainder of 2020. Here's the final three games before the mini-pause at Christmas.

MD 12: Napoli (~Dec. 16)

MD 13: Spezia (weekend of Dec. 20)

MD 14: @ Hellas Verona (~Dec. 23)

--

Point being, it's definitely going to test the full depth of the squad during that two-month period.

I'm not so positive like most of the people here. I think it's tough group as Borussia M and Shaktar aren't on the level of Borussia D and Tottenham most probalby but are definitely better than Slavia and PSV. Real are better than Barca in my opinion. The good thing is that everyone could loose points as there is no prominent weakling at first glance.

Fucking lucky Lazio.

Real is decent, nothing more. Seen them play yesterday, and honestly, their defense might be just be as shaky as ours. Not far off atleast. Very beatable side.

Shakthar we already beat last season. Okay team, deffo not the great side they were some years ago.

Monchegladbach (typo?) are far from the likes of Dortmund and Leipzig.

Last years we were competing with teams on par with us, if not better. This one is far more doable, and failing to qualify from this group will be a massive failure.

Wanted group B when I saw real and shahktar and we got it. Happy about the draw, didn't play real for a long time. Also good match to remind everybody Inter is on the uprise.

I think we will do very well :). Not going out of this group, even by 1 point definitely would be a failure.

I'm not a gambler, but...

1. Inter
2. Real
3. Shakhtar
4. Monchengladblablablach

What the fuck man, were you at the UCL final???

Yeah, man. I had to go. Some of my Inter friends from all over the world travelled to Madrid for that game. We spent a couple of days drinking and singing before (and after) the game. Unfortunately we weren't seated together in the stadium, but that hardly mattered. All interisti celebrated like family inside the stadium ie we all went completely pazza with every goal.

The tickets cost a bomb, but the memories are priceless. It was the best day of my life.

Why people speak of Real like they are nobodies? It's gonna be hell of a tough job to beat them.

Amazing, one of the best days of this club history and you were sitting right there, amazing. Yeah, fuck the price, absolutely worth it. Never knew that, brilliant.
Did you write a post back then about your experience, if you can remember? That would actually be a hell of an interesting read.

I don't think anyone is saying that. What happens is that we are so used to shit our pants everytime we see the likes of Barcelona, Real, Bayern, etc. And after seeing Real and the other teams of our group there is no need to shit our pants, because we can actually top the group, there is a big possibility of that happening.

Real Madrid are a huge team, probably the biggest club in the world, but they are not playing well and their squad is at the level of ours or maybe slightly inferior.

There is hope mate. Believe.

So happy to have Madrid in the group. Its time to get back to European elite boys! We will smash self-proclaimed King of Europe in San Siro so that people will see Inter is back!

I am worrying more about the German team. If we slip up in games with them it will be disaster.
