I didn't dislike the away goal rule, but that game should be the best example why it was bullshit in some conditions. Both teams literally played in the same city, same stadium, both games ending in draw, and they qualified for the final out of nowhere. They should have added some regulations or something for these kind of games, but the decision they removed it completely was not a bad idea imo.Now that there's no away goal rule we might actually beat them
The only disadvantage is that if both legs end in a tie, then the away team in second leg have to play an extra 30 minutes in the away field without having any advantage, it's something that happened in RM Chelsea game last season. Maybe they should also remove the 30 extra minutes and go to the penalty kick directly?
About that CL SF vs Milan, it's also worth sighing that Vieri missed both legs. But the problem with final qualification was that we never know what would happen
against Juve. If we would lose, it'd be something that their fans talked for ages. The same happened in the reverse. Milan Juve rivalry is never same with the Inter Juve one. I actually remember an Italian Juve fan in a football documentary saying "Losing the CL final to Milan was disappointing, but thank God it wasn't Inter".
