I haven't followed it at all this season. Mostly due to the fact that Royal League has diverted my attention to that instead! :stress::wallbang:

Surely someone must have been watching and have more interest in it than me. So let's discuss! ;)

I am now taking a look at UEFA website to get updated to a certain extent...

To be honest, I don't even have any idea on which clubs are still in this competition other than Newcastle and Parma. :D I usually degrade this competition when Inter is not in it. :D

Yeah, his attitude has to change though...Bonera and Frey both offered to help him up when he was flat on the ground, instead he showed his egoistic side by refuing their services and shunned them....

Typical milan arrogance, is he gonna join Kaka??? :scared: :scared:

I'm shocked Parma made it as far as they did. They should be proud with what they accomplished while fielding such a young team for most of the games.

If Sporting advance I'd bet the farm they'll take it. If only because they get to play in their home stadium which is a huge adavantage. Still....

Forza CSKA! :D

If only Carmignani started with a full strength squad in what is surely a truly important match for this team, he goes and screws up Parma's revival hopes by playing his usual youth saturated team - minus Grandpa Bucci of course. Parma's UEFA Cup dreams could go hand in hand with their Serie A dogfight. Reaching the finals is a huge morale booster for the players but instead, the coach decides to bring the confidence of the players down yet another notch but effectively dismissing the importance of a possible European trophy.

Ridiculous.

Well Tim, certainly they think that Serie A's survival is much important, which is absolutely true, and a moral boost is not worth as much as physical fitness. Whether they have made the right decision, I'm not sure but CSKA is powered by a tycoon if I'm not wrong and they should not be taken lightly. Parma's full strength team will face difficulties to see them off and I guess that is why Carmigiani doesn't want to risk it.

What does CSKA being owned by a tycoon have anything to do with 90 minutes of football? If your players are better or at least on par with those from the other team, then there is every chance that you can match them at everything they do. Hell, even weaker teams can beat stronger ones on their good day.

Ciao,
Tim

I find it ridiculously unfair if Parma's protests are NOT entertained. I think they have a case, because Bucci was the victim of firework abuse. If Milan are given an entry into the semifinals of the elite European competiton, the Champions League, based on forfeit on Inter's side being punished for crowd trouble, i think the some sort of fine for CSKA will be just right. It would be a shame to football if UEFA ignores Parma's cries and instead choose not to take action against CSKA. :cry2:

GO CSKA! WIN RUSSIA SOME PRIDE :)
