i dont mind with this anti-footbal labelling so long as the trophy is won fairly. we did the same thing against Barca and Muenchen in 2010.

I hope Roma can win this EL Final. it will be good for many reasons. Mourinho can revive his carreer and still one of the best coach out there after being 4 or 5 European finalist. we need new champion other than Sevilla after dominating it in the last few years. and of course great for Serie A's popularity.

Sitting back and making it harder to score for a team that needs a goal isn't anti football, it's just a strategy. You may not find it pleasing to the eye, but it's not unsportsmanslike and it's definitely not "antifootball".
Juventus is antifootball for example...

10 years of FIFNostradamusMost Passionate MemberIt's one thing to be pathetic and another to play a knockout game where you've already done half the job and the rest of it lies on not conceding a goal.
Conte did this with us in the league and relied on Handanovic to stop everything and on some lucky counter or a PK to get a result. And it was pathetic. Because we had the better team both times.
Mourinho does this occasionally at higher profile games where his team is lacking in quality against the opponent, and it gets exaggerated.
Just to highlight to different ways to use this based on real examples.
Now if Conte was to do this in Europe, in a KO game where we had secure a result in the first game and he had limited options in the return game and had to defend for his life and managed it, I'd be the first to applaud him for it.
But he's never been in that situation and probably won't ever be, so we'll never know....

as far as i can recall, i have never for once complained about the ultradefensive strategy applied by Inter's opponent. IMO Football is simple, go out to attack or organize a strong defense. both are rational choice. there is no shame in being defensive when it's neccessary.
