I too grew up in Glasgow as a Rangers fan and thoroughly enjoyed that win last night. Despite their strong European campaign, this is a fairly shambolic Rangers side but I was surprised just how poor Fenerbahce were. This is a team full of big name players who have played recently in one of the major Leagues and is paying Mourinho god knows what salary to put out a side that can produce that performance?
I've never really understood Turkish football which is wealthy enough to create its own culture, but historically seems utterly in thrall to signing veteran 'big names' from stronger Leagues. It's just a more highly-stressed and lesser paid version of the Saudi League.
