If you're talking about trusting the youth generally then we used to have Satriano and Pinamonti in the squad. Didn't go very well, so people have reasons to be doubtful.

If you're talking about Gnonto specifically, then yeah, he looks like a real deal. Whether we have the money for him and he can play out of position is a problem though.

Paolo Nicolato Italy U21 coach said he sees Gronto as a centre forward:

“I see Gnonto as more of a striker, including a centre-forward. He has played as a winger at club level and for Italy, but he doesn’t seem a classic winger to me. If anything, part of two upfront, or a centre-forward in a 4-3-3, because he attacks the space and has that sprint in the final third.”

They have insane depth in cbs. Botman, van de Ven, Timber. Instead they start an out of form van Dijk and Geertruida who's a rb. Also Dumfries starting for Netherlands when they have Frimpong is a mystery to me.

Geertruida is perfectly able to play as a cb tho. Although this wasn’t his best game… Van Dijk should warm the bench imo. Botman and De Ligt are a better fit now. Regarding Frimpong, he doesn’t speak Dutch. It’s rumoured that’s why Koeman doesn’t want him in the team.

Also please don’t sign that Retegui. He seems utter shit. Although this was the first time i saw a whole match of him.
