Repeat post from the Euro's: the only times in my life Italy has ever looked good against Spain is when the midfield was packed. 3-5-2 is the way to beat them. You disrupt their rhythm and tempo this way.

Really sick of players crowding the referee and screaming at them during 50-50 calls, red cards, etc. There should be cards given out for it.

At the end of the game showed the crowd going wild and cheering and one dude was wearing an Italy scarf...

Good game, really high paced and intense. Chiesa for the goal was special, may hate him but defo do rate him. The run is over, very enjoyable game.

Oh joy, Italia has one more game this international break, the third place match in the Nations League. The match is Sunday 10 October @9:00am EDST on TUDN, Univision and ESPNU in the US.

It was so nice getting to listen to Stewart Robson call a match again. I miss him on Serie A broadcasts.

Inter haters are criticising Mancio for not playing Chiellini, I guess instead of Basto, like him and Bonucci know each other well so should be defending better and blah blah. I didn't watch the whole match, but watching the highlights, on the first goal Bonucci is just running alongside Oyrazabal and lets him cross. As if had he played with Chiellini he should have intervened the cross or what? There were also dangerous moments when Bonnuci wasn't syncing with Basto for the offside trap. On the second goal, absence of the 2nd CB affected the balance and I cannot blame Basto much. Probably he left his zone relying on Emerson

Fully agree with the haters, players like Barella and Bastoni have no places in the NTs.

And fuck Italy and Mancini. Jorginho Ballon D'or btw

It's the typical situation with international football and fans who pretend they care about their national team but they really don't.

Milanisti went to the stadium only to boo Donnarumma and then they bashed Mancini for not calling up Tonali. Juventini were bashing Bastoni, Insigne and Di Lorenzo but they had no criticism for Bonucci and Bernardeschi.

Bastoni wasn't good last night but he certainly wasn't the worst player yesterday. He's at fault for the first goal (in second all the defense was disorganized) but he also saved Italy from many dangerous situations.

The main problem was his defensive partner, Bonucci, didn't give him security which made him insecure in his game. He was much better in the second half next to Chiellini.

It was also a huge mistake of Mancini to switch to a back 3 with Bastoni in the middle and Di Lorenzo and Emerson on the sides. We have seen it at Inter. Bastoni isn't suited for the role. He can only play on the left in a back 3.
