Man I'm excited for this weekend.

I want conor to win, I'm a conor fan, but I don't know how anyone who knows anything about mma can not fancy Dustin to win. I think Dustin has too much unfortunately

Why do you think Poirier will win so strongly? It can go either way, nothing more I love than seeing Conor get beat and England lose but I think it's going to be close as. The whole card is disgusting to be fair, having ranked fighters on early prelims when fight nights only ranked fighters are normally the main event is disgusting...

I want to see almost every single fight from early all the way through, I am stoked.

Was looking forward to seeing Hardy, I really like him then he went in on my main man Lewis for some reason, why can't my fighters all get along haha.

O'Malley and Mcgregor going to be trying to hard this weekend, could end in tears, anyway as a real MMA fan and not a mcgregor fanboi, I AM BUZZING.

I just think Dustin is better right now. He's been fighting the toughest dudes non stop the last few years where mcgregor has been doing god knows what.

Don't have one.
Man, all of this clown shtick from conor reappearing will look really sad if he loses again. Given how calm he was for the first fight, this smells like proper desperation, even if it rattles dustin to some extent.

Conor's only desperation is redemption, it was quite embarassing for him getting beat by Poirier despite how much he has grown.

Conor has nothing to prove or give to UFC/MMA he's done his bit, he either topping up his paper as he spends so much or he genuinely wants another run at the title.

I hope Poirier sparks him in the first 30 seconds.

If anything that was lucky for Conor because he would've been knocked out again.

As insane and great as this fight was, it shows O'Malley is not ready for top 15.. the dude was a replacement fighter with an average record and no rank.. Moutinho stock flew up but IMO I won't be expecting O'Malley to win a title anytime in the next 5 years, he'll end up with Bellator or PFL with those performances, he should stick to youtube and do the PVZ route (non soft p version)

I feel a lot of people underestimate Conor in that fight, I think he would have went onto to win the Dustin fight, I just felt something slightly different (I am not a Conor fan, I can't stand the dude, minus what he did for the sport) and I feel he would have taken it, unfortunate with the break however Poirier still needs credit the same was Weidmann did v Silva etc. Conor will come back v Diaz or Poirier if he is cleared to fight with a titanium shin.

What we saying for Gane v Lewis?

Huge Lewis fan here, I hope he takes it home however I fear Gane is a different animal.. I'm happy to see anyone but DC/Ngannou/Jones up in title fights.

Lighter note, Mitrione was released from Bellator (anyone see his fight?) just watch it you'll see why, tapping to strikes of all things. I was reminded of this as he has a knock out of Dereck Lewis on his record hahaha, madness.

Gane will be the champ.

Twoodz gonna smash up Paul tonight and I can't wait, just hope his ribs are in good nick!!
^ Should have realised the fights were fixed ha, that left hook just needed a follow up.. disapointed in Tyron.

Anyway tonight, 2 of my favourite fighters and future heavyweight champion Aspinall fight tonight and of course the main event Darren Till! Buzzed for it, I feel Till may lose but hope he proves me wrong, he always leaves his left wide open I really hope this has been worked on, I see it every damn fight, little like Bisping used too.
Aspinall showed some holes in his game last fight around but still got the job done, hope he has fixed these and puts a dominant performance in v Spivac.

Aspinall showing why he could well be the next heavyweight champ and he is so humble! Till showing why his only chance is being the next Bisping, no way is he going to be a dominant champ or possibly even champ, ever.

Great to see the spider KO tito, Tito is such an embarassment. Did not like Evander fighting, glad the ref stopped it in R1, I dislike TRT so would have been nice to see it go the other way but for safety reasons (Evander going on to more fights thinking he still has it) I am glad it ended this way.

Calling out the Paul brothers is getting so weak/old.. so so boring.

Can't wait for Mcgregor to get better so someone replies to this... Daukaus v Abdurakhimov was EXPLOSIVEEEEE!!! WHAT A FIGHT!!! Also so stoooooooked to see the return of one of the greatest Nick Diaz!!!

HOLY SHIT THAT 3RD ROUND!!!! VOLK V TCITY BABBYYYYY

If you have not seen it, watch Volk v Ortega.. DAMNNNN what a fight!!!!!!!!

I'm very late to respond to this but.. what?

I'm curious to know what possibly made you think Conor was going to win that fight were it not for his leg break. At 155lb Dustin is clearly the bigger fighter. Both the 2nd and 3rd fights in the trilogy showed that even when Conor was able to land some great shots, Dustin is just able to absorb them much better than when he fought at 145lb. His durability is greater - as is his power. You saw Dustin's shots really impacting Conor whenever they landed, especially those on the ground.

..which brings me to the ground and pound. Even if Conor is a better standing fighter (he is not), the fight can always end up on the ground and Conor's ground defence has always been weak. Khabib is so elite it's not even a fair comparison. Likewise, against the significantly bigger and more powerful man in Dustin, it's simply inadequate. Not only is Conor powerless to stop Dustin taking him down to the ground, he is unable to defend himself while there. Dustin utterly destroyed him from a top position in both fights. The first round of their most recent fight might've even been a 10-8 to Dustin. And don't forget that getting rained down on by big punches will really eat up that gas tank.

..which brings me to the cardio and ring time (which is the biggest factor of all IMO). Conor himself said it after the 2nd fight (while he was continuing with the humble act). He simply can't get away with all that time away from the octagon. With the time away raising his family, the boxing match with Floyd, the business ventures, Conor fought just twice between his masterclass against Alvarez and his rematch with Dustin in January 2021. By comparison, Dustin fought fucking EIGHT times in that period. That's eight fights worth of training camps and minutes spent in the octagon gaining invaluable experience and improvement. I won't comment further on Conor's joke cardio.

IF he is serious about fighting (beyond the ego, I strongly doubt it), and IF he has a shred of introspection and humility, he should restart from the "bottom" and take a bunch of tune-up fights against lower ranked guys. But he's already 33, and the lighter weight classes don't hold up with age as well as the heavier guys like Blachowicz or Stipe. I don't think he will ever beat another elite fighter. Everyone surpassed him while he was gone.

The way I see it, Conor wasted his prime years away from the octagon and he will never recover or regain the lost ground from that.

UFC 267 prelims start at 5pm UK time, 3 hours 40 mins from this post :) Stacked card and not a PPV (should be free with a subscription to the correct channel).

He's got the hype behind him for sure, I love him as much as the world does but he hasn't fought anyone with a name yet, Holland had hype too like this look at him now, only good thing for Chimaev is that he is a wrestler, a strong skill set for any MMA champion.

Shout out to Glover as well, happy birthday + title.

Man, both Gaethje and Chandler are fucking animals. Fucking love it when Chandler decided to fuck it all in the third round and went all maniac instead for the sake of entertaining the viewers. Fucking savages these two motherfuckers. Definitely worthy of FOTN.

Usman and Colby was pretty close and thrilling too. Appreciate Colby went off character after the fight during his short moment with Usman. He literally said "You know I'm trying to sell it for you. Go get your money bro. It's all love." to Usman. Right after that in the post event presser, he straight up went back to his WWE heel persona.

Love the bit when Dana hyped Canelo in the post event presser too. With regards to the potential boxing fight between Canelo and Usman, he simply said "You don't want to fight Canelo". He was even watching the Canelo fight during the Namajunas - Zhang fight on his screen. What a fanboy.

Gamebred fell out of the Edwards fight in December, Khamzat calling him out and ready to replace. Strange as Khamzat has been calling him out since his win at 267 as if he knew it would happen! However unless Edwards is forced by the ufc "fight or no title shot" he will not take this fight, as he well knows if he loses, he loses his title shot he thinks he deserves.

Would love to see this fight, prefer Khamzat to fight someone slightly lower ranked first though.
