agreement for a five-year deal, €1.5m net per season. Lazaro wants Inter and vice versa. An important signal to send to English, French, German competitors that are following the Austrian winger (Arsenal, PSG, …). Contenders are not lacking but Piero Ausilio and Giuseppe Marotta have moved so far in advance since last March and they are counting on taking advantage of the well-deserved pole position. The most formidable at this point is Paris Saint Germain. In case of Meunier’s departure, PSG would push even more for Valentino.

Inter’s first offer was €15m plus bonuses and it was raised to €17m plus bonuses.

Not a bad signing I think Conte can make him look fantastic, I mean a 3-5-2 (mazzari) makes even yuto and jonathan look good I am sure he will have a great first season with us.

Vazquez is not a smart choice at all.

He was good enough for Real Madrid. Who's Lazaro good enough for? As a general rule in BLiga if the player isn't linked to Bayern or Dortmund then believe he's not good enough for Inter. I'm not saying he's Dalbert bad as it will depend on how Conte manages him, but aside from his speed I'm not sure what Conte sees in him. He had half a good season at 11th placed Hertha Berlin but now he's essentially our 1st choice RWB. I would love to see the scouting report on this guy.

I want to feel optimistic over Lazaro but at the same time it feels this is yet another wing back / full back who won't be that good at Inter. How many of these we've had? They've burnt probably close to 100m€ on these in the last 10 years or something.

At least now we have a top coach whose system is based on wing backs so I guess he knows what he's doing. That's what brings the optimism.

Dude was born in Austria to Greek and Angolan parents. His name is Spanish and/or Italian. A true cosmopolit.

Yeah, that's my contribution. Hope he is good enough, but looks like he's not even Conte's pick. Hard to be very optimistic here.

Ausilio tried to get the guy in 2012 when he was a young kid. Not a proof that it's lot a Conte pick but given that history there's a good chance this is an Ausilio pick.

Well I’ll take the gamble instead of seeing candreva at RWB.

I don’t think Ausilio would get any more players without Conte’s and Marottas approval.

In addition to Ausilio trying to get him long time ago, he and Marotta moved for him on March. Of course it's possible that this was done as per Conte's instructions. But it looks maybe more likely that Lazaro was at best proposed to Conte and he said yes.

If Bayern and Dortmund don't chase him. Then he's good enough for the 4th place team in Italy. Us.

Guys, can you stop it please? Remind me for how much Maicon was bought, and how mamy top teams werw interested in him? I still remember the comments here before we officially signed him.

The amount of monet is not everything. It's just that the more you pay, the higher (in theory) chance he wilk do alright.

Just give it a chance, we might all be for a big suprise. You often ser those great players after few years, you see where they werw before, and we all wonder why we weren't after them.

So how good is this guy actually? I've only seen him couple of times for Austrian NT, and that's it. He looks like fast player with decent shooting/dribbling technique, but cant really say if he is any good in defense or about his footballing IQ.

If it's a 3-5-2 I'll have less concern over his defensive responsibilities. If our midfield includes kivacic barella and brozovic, that's enough defensive support that Lazaro could sit on the grass while the other team has the ball.
