Seems that he snubbed Newcastle, as his agent confirmed that Valentino wants to stay.

Lazaro also experienced the setback of a positive test for COVID-19 last week, after a preliminary test before entering the Nerazzurri’s pre-season training camp, having to remain in isolation as a precaution. However, as the player’s agent confirms, he has now tested negative, and should be able to resume normal footballing activities:

He continued by reiterating that “There is interest for Valentino, but his decision is, first of all, is to stay.”

Next: Inter sign Nandez so Lazaro gets the picture.

So, someone please explain to me what happened with this guy.

He didn't exactly set the world on fire when he was here, but I don't remember him being abysmal. He had a decent game against Verona (?) and an okayish cameo in the Dortmund game we lost and then I don't remember anything else from him. Is he just shit tactically and was always out of place and I didn't notice?

I know he was deffo sub-par at Newcastle, then scored a scorpion kick before injuring himself for the rest of the season at Gladbach.

Conte just didn't like him. He missed the preseason with an injury and was off with the team movements and shit I guess.

Thought he was pretty solid for Borussia too, even had a good assist against us and scored possibly the next Puscas winner. Just been unlucky with injuries.

A good preseason and we might be able to count on him.

Just checked that we've actually paid 22m for this guy and still don't know what to do with him. No wonder why we easily run out of money.
bad decisions is
wrecking our financials stats
feels like someone is enjoying and benefiting from these bad deals.

Directors should just tell us that RWB-s for next season are Darmian, Lazaro and D'Ambrosio.

I seriously have not heard a single rumour regarding Lazaro. It makes me think that he will be staying.

If Benfica makes it to the CL through qualifiers, I can guess he ends up there on loan. He was rumored there earlier, then the rumors died when it was said he doesn't like the destination. But it could be anything. It can be from Benfica's side or the player's.

I dont think this is such a bad idea, as much i like darmian, he huge downgrade compare to hakimi, but we can be ok with him as satarter, but if his back up will be DDA we fucked, DDA so heavy and slow, lazaro is ok back up, he can wait on bench until he fit the team more or less...

Maybe we can terminate his contract, copping a massive capital loss, and let him sign for Benfica as a free agent. I heard some fuckwit club did that with one of their retard players.

Same. Not even a whisper about him recently.
