What will happen will happen. It would be nice to win, but I don't expect a win tbh

As long as we keep the pace with Napoli, we are golden.

Why wouldn't you expect a win here?

Despite of absences in this one, we still do have a good enough squad to win over Venezia.

Fair expectation - loads of injuries and all other 3 teams that played in the Supercup drew.

It's the 19th team in the league, with fewer points than games.

That doesn't give any excuse not to win against possibly the worst team of the league. Cagliari and some others might have similar bad numbers on the paper, but they're still better than Venezia IMO.

It won't be an easy one by any means, but would've been criminally to drop points tomorrow.

Good thing we have Pavard back, and likely Thuram aswell. Lautaro looks like he's coming back to form, so there is absolutely zero reason to not expect a win.

Anything can happen, but players shouldn't absorb any negativity on their minds. Our rival dropped points, which means that has to be a moral boost for our players tomorrow.

Then again, as long as we the team puts a proper effort and gives their all, I'd be fine with not winning, but NOT while seeing a bunch of cowards running away from responsibility or being fine with a point or whatever. Not always the best wins, but at least show that you're doing your best.

Can say the exact same thing about Cagliari today, who took a point from Milan who beat us 5 days ago. I'm just saying, wera isn't exactly wrong for being worried about it.

Of course we all expect a win.
No. Bilan are shit, they are 8th placed team I don't care if they won some supercup with referee's help. Juventus are shit as well.

We are chasing Scudetto here, Venezia are shit and we should beat them if we want that scudetto. They have 14 points out of 19 games. They don't even average a point per game.

Being worried is completely fine, but not expecting a win is another thing aswell. Two completely different things though.

I'm sorry but I don't buy that "losing against the worst team is inexcusable", Sassuolo was one of the worst teams last season and they beat us twice. It can happen against any team at this point in the league, I expect a few slip ups from every team, since it's congested with (too many) games.

I think we'll survive a cheeky draw against Venezia, which is what I expect at this time. 2:2

Yes, it can happen and that's just fine, as long as the team puts in a proper effort and gives their all. But a lack of desire to win or poor approach, that would be extremely frustrating. We need to take advantage when Atalanta drops points because we're already in a relatively easy schedule, so the difficult matches will come at some point.

Regarding Sassuolo's encounter; I'd be willing to bet my existence that second loss vs Sassuolo last season was a match fixing or something. It was crystal clear that Inter didn't want to take points that day. We still had starters coming from the bench, also it was a team that overperformed like entire season, but all of sudden there was zero effort, no desire to win, no aggressivity and everything else.

That's quite unfair towards the rest of teams fighting relegation. There is no morals on putting 110% effort against a X team and then perform at 10% against Y team.

Professional football has manipulations as well. Might be almost impossible to find out about it, but they're doing it in a very sophisticated way. Might sound stupid, and some people might not be ready for it.

Anything can happen in a given game, there's a reason why the games are played.

Venezia is a promoted side, 19th in the league, 3-5-11 on the season right now. Underlying stats suggest they're right where they belong too pretty much, not really victims too much of bad luck.

There's no reason anybody should expect anything other than a win tomorrow. Which doesn't guarantee a win obviously, but we can worry about the post-game assessment once the game is over. The pre-game assessment is that we should expect to win and these would be 2-3 very disappointing dropped points otherwise. Especially because Napoli are home to another team sitting low in the table so they would likely be able to increase their lead.

If Inzaghi have any guts he will play Palacios if he doesn't have his other defenders matchfit and don't risk getting their injuries worse. I don't buy this thing that he is not ready to face the worst teams in the league. This narative needs to stop getting fed to the fans by those who turned Inter into one of the oldest squads in Europe.

Yeah now that you say it feels strange to watch a game at this time. I also miss to see diretta goal where 3-4 teams play at the same time and you can watch all of them, with the screen switching every minute to a game when something happends.

I’m usually a glass half full kinda guy but the confidence (arrogance?) of some of these posts… 🤣 Also implicating match fixing to prove their points 🤔

In a top tier professional league anything can happen. For reference go back less than 24 hours to the San Siro.

It's this first lineup in the end. With Carlos Augusto & Taremi. Not bad either. Let's win this.
