My girlfriends grandma made double lunch yesterday for her own birthday (which she had a week ago). I watched the United and Chelsea games at the table on my phone while also engaging in conversations. It's doable.

Imagine having lunch with the same people almost every weekend, especially in the summer when most of them have birthdays, marriage anniversaries or just have free time for lunch. The same conversations, the same jokes, but I still chime in, still have a conversation even though it's boring. Then they want to take long walks with the dogs and my only free day of the week is gone, poof, arrivederci.

Of course I'll feel the need to be selfish, my boys are in the chat, the games are on, let's go. Seeing how I can multitask, it's not really a problem, if anybody think it's disrespectful, they should either speak or do whatever they want.

I'm actually surprised by how many people cannot multitask.

I even got embarrassed to say that speaking to someone while doing something is "multitasking" but apparently I was being rude and ignoring them. Most of the people I've met are laser focused on one task, no matter how simple. I mean you're sitting next to them but if you speak to them they phase out from the conversation just because they are texting or reading something or watching something on a screen.

Makes me ultra scared when I see people texting while driving as these people cannot even handle grabbing a plate while they're talking to someone else.

Vast majority cannot multitask, especially women who claim they can. So it feels rude to them when others are capable of doing it. Don't underestimate that, unless you're like me and don't give a damn Typical shit is when I am at a bar/restaurant, watch a game, order food&drinks, check something on the phone, thinking about random things, while someone else says something to me and then assumes I wasn't listening to them. Then you freak them out by saying out loud what they had just said, plus your own take on their absurdity.


TL;DR crowd: Don't try to watch a game in a social gathering unless you're able to mingle regardless or unless you don't care if you cannot be part of the social event properly.

As mentioned before, EdF is now in charge of Hellas. Kinda crazy how he went from a being decent coach who knocked out Barca in an epic comeback win and almost defeated Liverpool in the semi final, to a complete joke who has 4W 6D 21L in Serie A after getting sacked by Roma.
