Thinks/looks ... love a critic from someone whos no played the game 10/10 mate

Have you played GoT? Why do you never mention the crazy buggs in the game? You want to pay all that money for it to be buggy?

Just to show you guys the sheer size of this game.

Btw, just because a game is big doesn't make it good

The game isn't half as good as GoT and calling it Assasin's Creed is just LOL.

Will be defiantly get it but want to read the reviews it seems like a super ambitious game for that studio so will be great or garbage.

also has anyone played Avengers? Going to be $27 on Black Friday wasn’t sure if I should get it or not

They are kinda a huge company now.

Dudes made the great Witcher 2 and Witcher 3. I believe since they took their time, this one is gonna be sick as well. Next game will probably take another 5 years to make, minimum.

Mate the game is lauded with bugs, no doubt about it. Yes a game being 100000 hours long doesn't make it good, didn't state that either :)

The game is absolutely amazing, my point is pal you criticising a game and comparing it to another game and you've not played it, thats all I am saying.

The only "PC" I support in games is "Personal Computer". Tired of these companies shoving this shit down our throats, and most of the writers are white dudes.

Fucking everything is politicized nowadays.

Isn't that like the only huge title with a lesbian main character? And seeing what happened in the first game, it's obvious why she wouldn't be into men. So I don't see how is that shoving down your throat. If there are any more games with PC content, please tell me, I might be missing something. This is the same how people ain't understanding why black people loved to see a Black Panther movie be a celebration of black heritage and culture. Just let it be.

You probably only follow the video games industry casually, LGBT lobbying has been an issue for practically a decade now. And while TLOU2 is the most crude example where it practically shoves it down your throat, it's also a problem in general with the industry because developer teams now hire people based on filling out LGBT quotas instead of getting the best people for the job. Most of these LGBT writers are hacks at best who can't write anything without shoving their lifestyle into it. And even if you can get over that, you will find that quality is usually mediocre.

No offense but i really wonder what is going on in peoples life who have time left to get upset about this or have a problem with it...

Like really this is the problem in the world to many gay game characters and developers?

Also to claim that this is a new trend is foolish 1989 capper in the castro probably the first popular LGBTQ game.....

When a person on a football fan forum berates you for having too much free time.

Only when it results in an inferior product. I play video games to relax, I don't need nor want politics in it. And forcing these bullshit agendas definitely is political.

You should google what "trend" means. And then you should also google what "lobbying" means.

I hated the trans girl for her stupid decisions in game. Can care less that they are trans and gay. 1st game confirmed Eli is gay. She is based on Ellen page(fact the actress was pissed about)

It’s just like the character we are all referring to make such shit decision that effects everyone in such a bad way that it’s like fk how are you not suppose to hate them.

Then the developer and other people are like well if you hate X character you are transphobic

Spiderman for PS5... Just a lazy reskinning of the original with like 10 hours of game play. And again, written by white people trying to cash in on minorities buying their games.

I always liked Miles more than Peter Parker, but okay.

Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse still my fav. Spiderman movie. They made the game because the character is popular, not because of some silly agenda =)

Well I do know about Gamergate and all that extreme bullshit, but overall I really don't see a lot of agendas being thrown all around.

Let's go through all the big franchises out there.
God of War is still a badass, Tomb Raider became Nathan Drake without humour, but at least she has some personality now, GTA games still make fun out of everybody, there was even an add-on for GTAIV where you play Gay Tony's henchman, RDR includes all type of people but there isn't any political message, Halo stays Halo, Gears of War same. They made an Uncharted game with two playable female characters, which was better than Uncharted 1 and 3. Again, no propaganda there.

All them Mario and Zelda games are still the same, Half-Life:Alyx was all about story, nothing political...

Some of you are making too much out of it. I can understand how some people didn't love TLOU2 because what happens at the start of the game, but overall it's still a great story, it just comes with a groin kick at the start of the game to prepare you for the type of story it wants to bring to you.

I don't think he was going at you for the free time, but you seemingly being upset about a video game or the themes that are portrayed in it.

This game is a drama survival horror game, its not really made for anyone to relax playing it, it's a depressing game in that sense as well. Building on that i am guessing the makers of the game take from their real life experiences and relationships and put in the characters thy are making.

Not sure why u think it's forced, political or why is it a bullshit agenda. I cant really think of many triple AAA games that have similar characters or themes as well.

Last but not least, its their game and they can do and put whatever they want in it regardless what anyone thinks, thats why there is a large collection of games for us to play.

TLOU2 story is absolute garbage, there is nothing great about it. It's cheesy, it's hamfisted, it's preachy as all hell and any sophomore year creative writing student can probably piece together a better story in an apocalyptic setting. Here's a great albeit lengthy video that explains way better than I could exactly why it's not only a piss poor story but also a garbage video game to boot. I don't expect you to watch it but it does provide a very well explained insight into everything that is wrong about it without even mentioning the retarded SJW tropes.

Reboot Tomb Raider trilogy is pretty much a direct result of pandering to these masses. You are right, it became a discount Uncharted, which is completely inferior to the original TR games which required some actual thinking instead of just tilting the left stick up and watching the cutscenes. They made Lara flat as an ironing board, took away her sarcastic quips and made her a generic Mary Sue devoid of any character or personality. Granted, older games weren't exactly story driven but these new games didn't add literally anything at all to her persona. And I actually played all 3 games this year. Those three games are quite possibly the best example of modern video game mediocrity - it checks all the checkboxes, it has every gimmicky feature that games now absolutely must have. Crafting? Check. Boring ass cutscenes that take control away from the player every two minutes yet add nothing to the experience? Check. Collecting bunch of pointless shit like in every Ubisoft game of the past 10 years? Check. Mashing QTE buttons? Check.
Yet it's boring as hell. Combat isn't satisfying, stealth is lackluster, obligatory wallhack "senses" that do all the thinking for you, and it's not even remotely challenging. I'm not a fan of Uncharted either but at least Uncharted does all of the above in an effective way.

I'm also quite annoyed by this trend where all female protagonists absolutely have to look absolutely the same. Wifebeater shirts, short hair, almost underweight, no curves, no nothing, considerably more masculine than feminine.

Listen, I'm not trying to convince anyone, nor do I give a shit really. Games nowadays very rarely appeal to me, I'm getting old, I'm less inclined to forgive certain flaws that piss me off, especially when it's painfully obvious that games nowadays do things in a worse way than 10 or 15 years ago. I play roughly about 5 to 6 titles a year. However I do still follow things closely. I'm not saying that these games are bad because of a gay or lesbian character, or a writer. I'm merely pointing out to a clear correlation between game's quality (be it writing, gameplay, anything) and game's political agenda. And you are wrong as fuck if you think that there is no agenda at all. I genuinely neither care nor hold anything against people who are within the LGBT subculture - I just fucking hate it when creation of video games does not subscribe to the idea of meritocracy, instead positions are awarded to people based on their sexuality, self-proclaimed gender, skin color etc. If you fail to see how this leads to an inferior product, in an industry ruled by deadlines, where games come with day 1 patches of multiple gigabytes as a norm, poor optimization etc, then I really don't know what else to say.

Again, TLOU2 is just the most obvious example.

I'm not upset about anything, don't mistake me being passionate about my opinions for anger. It just pains me to see a medium with such potential such as video games, which I used to adore, being used as the low-hanging fruit for enforcing retarded political opinions, made by people who lacked the talent to go to an actual film school.

That's pretty much everywhere now.

Even Football Manager has LGBT flags in every freaking stadium. You play Inter-Juventus and you see those flags everywhere. You play Partizan-Red Star and you see those flags everywhere. I mean, you obviously don't have to care about it enough to embargo the game, but every time it is pointed out that this is an annoying feat that adds nothing and just can lead to frustration receives a typical PC pampered answer.

Almost every media outlet, including video games, have these tendencies over the last 6-7 years. It's becoming unavoidable and that's the aim, to make it the norm until it is considered entirely normal.

It does not affect the game play of course but it affects the whole rhetoric of "realism" that the game offers. If the game wants to be realistic, don't propagate with unrealistic things. You might see that gay flag at an Arsenal game but you won't see it in Eastern or Southern Europe. I doubt you'd even see it in Germany or Swedish games where this things aren't as frowned upon as in the rest of Europe.

So if the game preaches realism, you cannot have more lgbt flags than team flags on a stadium. It's blatant propaganda for no reason, that adds nothing to the game.

They do have a late game trigger to "boost attendance", which does affect your finances positively, where a random player (not existing one), comes out of the closet and unveils he is gay, ao you have the gay community supporting you and coming to watch your games..... I mean, that's plain ridiculous. It'd only work like this in the MLS perhaps.

Is there any reason whatsoever to include this in a game that has been very successful, albeit a monopoly, for years? It just reeks of unnecessary propaganda.
