Halo infinite is amazing, i cant remember i had this much fun since Fortnite season 1-3. Never before have I played Halo but it gives me so much of that old school UT vibe, and I love it. I understand now why it has that godlike status in NA.
Haven't tried it, but I'm happy it's free. Also at the same time, Splitgate was released, another UT type game, but with Portals.

I love those fast paced fps games, now with pubg, cod, and other BR games you barely ever find something that's fast, and actually good, i remember i played some browser game with couple of friends few years ago coz there was nothing similar to UT (i think it was called Uberstrike or something like that).

Just hearing this gets me nostalgic.

I've heard a lot of halo fans giving off because the game is destroyed with microtransactions.

Also, battlefield launched without a fucking scoreboard!! Lol

If anyone likes Assassins Creed games, Syndicate is currently on offer on Steam (they all are to be fair) but Syndicate is an absolute gem in the series, highly reccomend especially at the price (around £8).

I've started RDR2 all over again. It reminds me of how f*ckin good this game is. The graphics and interaction with other figures is amazing.

Maybe it's just me but the missions are awesome but I like to smoke a joint and just go wandering off into the woods. Just randomly walking around do some hunting/crafting shit. Hunt down the KKK-members etc and just try some things out. It's the perfect game for these things. That's where the pleasure is for me, you can choose to do missions, side-missions or no missions and just do whatever you want. Yesterday I had the urgent need to feed the alligators at Saint Denis with humans so I spend a good hour to lure people into the swamps and let them get eaten by alligators for no apparent reason. :yao:

Wow, Life is Strange won an award for best storytelling? That’s something I didn’t expect to happen in our timeline. I played the first game and thought it sucked ballz. In general I consider myself a fan of those interactive movie type of games like Heavy Rain, Detroit: Become Human, Until Dawn, even The Wolf Among us (despite Telltale sucking ballz too).
Life Is Strange’s story is a complete and utter mess… some of those chapters, Jesus Christ lol. The one where you need to run errands for your best friend (a major cunt), who as been paralyzed from the neck down since the previous chapter and the final one where the teacher is revealed to be some cartoonishly crazy and evil pedophile were a pain in the ass to play through. Not only were the purposes of those stories themselves really wacky, but the game is absolutely littered with garbage level dialogue, unauthentic and unlikable characters, and „choices“ which don’t matter in the slightest from start to finish. The gameplay is really fucking awful too, Max moves at the pace of a crippled snail and is about as agile as a lorry.
Easily the worst game I’ve played in the PS4 generation, quite possibly even the worst game I’ve played in general.

Anyway, I came here to talk about Doom Eternal. Started playing in January I believe, got my ass handed to me repeatedly and stopped playing after 5 missions. Now that we’re in lockdown again I thought it’d be a good idea to finally complete the game. And in fact, it turned out to be a good idea. Had a rough start because I was right at the end of a level, with all objectives completed, but wasn’t able to find my way to the quest marker for 30 mins. Then got my butt kicked again in the next level, but after finding my groove it’s been a lot of fun. It’s a tough game if you’re not used to the high paced combat, takes a while to get used to, but once you git gud it’s so fucking enjoyable. Not finished yet, I think there’s still 5 missions to go. Love it.

I’ve also started playing AC Unity a few days ago, first AC I’ve played since Black Flag. Bought it when it came out, but never bothered to install it because the reviews where fucking abysmal. I think I’m at sequence 4 at the moment. I think it’s alright, not exceptional but not garbage either, definitely better than some other atrocities that Ubisoft released. Paris is stunningly beautiful, the gameplay and the story are quite vanilla as always, but the technical performance, especially in crowded areas, is horrible. I think I’ll play it every now and then, if I ain’t got nothing to do and I’m the the mood.

I bought something like 15 ps4 games during black friday. Will post them later for your reviews and comments and hopefully I manage to play at least 3 of them.

so....

Avengers
Until Dawn
Tekken 7
The Witcher (Wild Hunt)
NBA 2k22
Kingdom Hearts (The story so far)
Asterix XXL Remastered
Gran Turismo Sport

There's a couple of more but I forgot. It's mostly older games or bundles of 2-3 games though.

Until Dawn is among those interactive movie type of games I was talking about earlier, so you can expect a lot of cutscenes and dialogue (can’t remember if you can actively choose dialogue lines though). The gameplay mostly consists of examining areas and finding clues and is also quite QTE heavy. The story is pretty decent in my opinion and it has some good spooks here and there. The „choices influence the story“ feature actually works quite well in this game too. Overall it’s a fun game, that will take you around 8-10 hours to complete. It’s worth trying out.

The Witcher 3 has even more cutscenes and dialogue, but is exceptionally well written. The story, characters, side quests, music and open world are absolutely phenomenal. The combat isn’t as great as many other aspects about the game, but I’d say it’s decent. Wouldn’t call it bad by any means. Be aware of the fact that this is a LONG game. Even if you’re only focusing on the main story it will take you quite a while to complete. Overall I’d say it’s among the best games of the decade. Can recommend.

Life is strange 2 is fantastic and I haven't played the new true colours yet but it gets rave reviews.

Totally agree thought 1 is shocking, at the diner remembering coins and whats in her pockets etc killed me, sinister story telling.

ps. Detroit become human is absolutely amazing, love that game.

I wonder if you're playing on consoles? I loved it on PC, but I'm not buying it for PS5 since I couldn't play like I do with the mouse. It's amazing how they updated the 2016 formula, may they release a Doom game every 4 years.

Brehme, if ever you'll have the time, Bloodborne and Witcher 3 are probably the best two games you can play on PS4. Good choice.

Yeah I play on PS4.
Completed Taras Nabad yesterday and had my first few encounters with the Arch-Vile. Those guys are some tough cookies man, I’d rather fight a Marauder tbh.

I'll gladly say Marauders are my favourite non boss enemy in a shooter since Skaarj from Unreal 1. Such fun, I would die a million times with a controller, but it would be fun

I'm playing Days Gone and I'm impressed how long the game is

Playing on PS5, sure there are some bugs, but nothing gamebreaking. Once it was hard to find a button prompt for something, other than that, beautiful game, good characters, love riding the bike

I'll write a full review when I finish it. Actually one of my gripes could be that it's too long

I played days gone on the ps plus collection on my ps5. Great game and would definitely recommend. Its a lot of fun. Only thing that annoyed me was needing fuel for my bike, I kept being worried I'd run out on trips lol other than that a lot of fun. The hordes are crazy intense

If that Witcher game that I bought is #3, I got both. Will eventually play them but won't be home for 3-4 weeks now so it's only for an xmas special to start with.

Also Kingdom Hearts is shit, a game for untalented kids and Disney fanboys.
Sounds like my type of game :D :D :D

Is there a PS5 shortage where you live as well? Haven't seen one for sale in ages.
