I’m heading to a boring train ride now. Good time for some laid back gaming talk.

Nope, that's a good time for a Nintendo Switch. Hence, why I'm going to buy one soon. Probably Saturday.

 You got me there. Unfortunately I’m too impoverished atm to buy one. Which games are you going to get?

The only Soulsborne I have played so far is Bloodborne and i loved it so much that I'm afraid I won't like the other ones. It was hard, but luckily other people can join you to help - something that Sekiro doesn't have.

I also played and finished Halo Combat Evolved on legendary, which I usually don't do for shooter games, but it's really exciting and a proper, but fair challenge.

Number 3 would be Doom Eternal. Burnout 3 had a few really hard races.

I always thought Legacy of Kain games had huge difficulty spikes, but I'd love to see a Remake of all the games now that Square Enix sold the IP (plus Tomb Raider and Deus Ex)

Max payne 1 was hard. Lot's of early rpgs and shooters were hard (Doom 2, quake, gothic) or later ones like No one lives forever, Project Igi 2 and Return to castle wolfenstein.

I was never good at strategy games or card games, so they are all hard to me.

In multiplayer: Fifa 21  seasons mode is EXTREMELY hard to me, I haven't won Div 1 for the first time since I started playing Fifa Seasons in Fifa 14. Yesterday I got Fifa 22 on Ps+, so maybe if somebody wants to play, hit me up

I think @wera mentioned some. I want three at first.
Super Mario game, probably the Odyssey. The cool Zelda game. And will check on what they have for a 3rd. I'd even consider a Pokemon game if they're good enough but there's so many creatures and I only know the first 150+1

2 hr flight, 3 hr train and 30 minutes cab ride requires a handheld I reckon. Plus the wait at the airport lounge. My phone battery can last so long and I'm tired of Sudoku during flights.

I remembered one more - Severance: Blade of Darkness. It was basically Dark Souls before Dark Souls. And you could slice heads, arms and legs off opponents.

Got the Switch yesterday. Didn't have time though. Set it up today.

Only found the Zelda game. But I bought/downloaded Super Mario Odyssey from the Switch itself. Helps that the price was quite lower as well (40 euros rather than 60-70).

Those two should suffice for the time being.

My girlfriend got me Kirby forgotten lands (very Odyssey-ish) and Mario Golf randomly cus she wanted to play them.

Both are hella fun. A nice relaxation when you get pissed at games like Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring.

Switch is fun, but the games are indeed pricey. And like an idiot, I went on and bought tons of accessories (case, steering wheels, joy con controllers etc). Eventually almost amounted to the price of a PS5 :palm:

I find their online shop interesting. You can get some games a bit cheaper there but obviously not the majority.

Only got the Zelda game (physical), Mario Odyssey and a retro bundle (Aladdin, Lion King, Jungle Book)

The thing that sucks about Nintendo 1st party games is that they never go on sale (because they don't need to). It's a thing to always remember when buying a Nintendo console.

I got the Mario Odyssey on sale. Small one, but still.

They have cartridge type SD card, so they always work and buying the games off ebay can be cheaper than going to retail. Yeah, it's shitty, but at least the games are really fun

So I'm starting my Elden Ring adventure, I guess that means no other games this year for me (except occasional FIFA match)

Yes and they have had some big discounts on good games that aren't as popular as their flagship games (overcooked comes to mind).

Anyone plays e-football 2022?

Found out it's free on gamepass so I tried it, gameplay is a bit strange coming from Fifa (haven't played 22) but it seems very playable. However, what the fuck is up with the Dream Team mode? I can't earn players (cards) by playing but only by opening packs and mostly paying for them?! That's whack, though I did load up with 10$ and got Dybala, my team is still mostly Bronze and I beat a guy with a normal good team in a friendly and was toxic towards him after . And the upgrading system is confusing as hell, player progression, level training, and also team styles are relevant to the player's performance? How am I supposed to figure this shit out without googling. Not to mention the interface is trash compared to Fifa's UT.

I'd appreciate any tips on how to play, level up, and approach the game as I'm a literal noob in this.

I'd love to jump back in some time soon but I know I'm going to hate having to relearn everything all over
