Congrats
@wera!
Going to stop by the electronics store tomorrow and ask if I can pre order a PS5, because I still don’t have one like a peasant.
I’m also going to post some opinions on a few neat little games I’ve played recently.
Forgot about this one, apologies.
I usually don't play much in the summer and my PS4 is on the verge of dying so I haven't used it in a while.
I played SteamWorld Dig, which is a neat little game, around 4-5 hours long. Basically a digging platformer. Simple concept, simple gameplay but a fun game to kill some time. Got it on a discount on PSN so it cost me like 2 bucks. Worth it.
I remember playing Little Hope, which is the 2nd game of the Dark Pictures Anthology after Man of Medan (which was kinda meh). The story is slightly better than Man of Medan but otherwise it's quite generic. The QTEs are way too fucking easy and character deaths, just like in Man of Medan, are so unpredictable that it's actually quite bothering me. I beat every single QTE in the game and lost 2 characters because of
one choice, which couldn't have been any less related to their deaths. Overall though, if you're a fan of these little horror QTE games I'd say you can try it, if you can find it for cheap. It's a fun game, just not very refined.
Then I also played Creaks. Wanted to try out some platformers and got that one on a discount, saw its good ratings on Google and bought it. Definitely more of a puzzle game than a platformer. Personally I was bored with it after like 2 hours. The game is very repetitive and the puzzles just get too difficult at some point (at least if one is impatient like me). Played about a third of the chapters and uninstalled it. Not my type of shit unfortunately.
Also got Gravity Rush 2 on a discount which is easily the most enjoyable game out of all those. The movement and platforming is too much fun, I just love it when a character has the ability to fly. It has a neat art style as well. Unfortunately only played like 4 hours so far. Decent game though.
Also picked up Dead Rising 1 and 2 for super cheap. Played like 45 minutes of the first game and it turns out that I fucking suck at this game. The controls feel are super dated as well, which is not a big surprise since it was initially released in 2006 I believe. The movement and especially aiming and shooting is so clunky that I had a hard time adapting to it. The button set up is something that I probably won’t get used to. Survivors AI is pretty poor as well. Picked up a survivor, but didn’t know what to do or where to go, so I just ran away from the hordes of zombies and gave up. Let the survivor and myself get killed and then lost like 20 minutes of progress on top of that. Checkpoints are very scarce it seems. Imma be honest, I don’t think I’ll give it a 2nd chance, this game is just not for me. I’ll try out the 2nd on though in coop mode.
