It comes down to how you rate gutis abilities. For me, he could have been a lot more. And dont bring the trophies argument into the table please. But I think adriano is a bigger wasted talent than guti for sure.

That is why I named him as wasted talent. He had the potential, in my opinion, to be at least as good as some of the players you mentioned above, but he didn't.

It's a good comparison .To be fair, in his final season he was very good in the first half of the season (was scoring) until the team completely didn't care anymore (Fabregas had his eyes on Barca etc.) at the end of the season. He's one of those players that appears to be creative, but really isn't.

Yesterday Novaković scored this goal in the japanese league. Another of those wasted talents .... well I know we managed to get to the WC2010 because of him, but I really think his talent could've been handled better, also he came to our NT too late, he is well over 30 right now - but it's his own fault too.

I used to have a unique right foot, I could take either a Roberto Carlos free kick with same speed and banana shaped shot, or the Recoba free kicks style. I started as a DF, it was almost impossible to get past me, then I advanced up in years so the coach could use my speed and powerful shots more often. So I`d play asa striker sometimes and I`d defend starting from the first line, cause Ima defender originally.

Then at the age of 16 I developed my dribbling techniques, all thanks to my superior vision and sense of positioning.

I was almost the perfect player and a leader on the field. but then I had a fight with the coach cause I was smarter than him and embarrassed him in many of his decisions, so he decided to kick me out of the team, then Istarted hating football, and the most stupid decision I took and still regret till this day is that I never searchd for another oppurtunity in another team, I even kicked couple of chances of playing for othe teams, just cause I was young, angry and stupid.

True sad story, just never mind.
