All good things come to an end, they say... my dog passed away and so that was the end to our long-lasting friendship. It happened overnight, he was already dead at the vet's. He said it was probably an aneurysm, pretty common in old dogs.

I'm happy he died this way rather than suffering for a long time for a cancer or stuff like that.

Best friend ever. He didn't like to be washed but loved to roll on horse shit, which caused a little problem a couple of times.

I like to think we will still look at the stars together.

i don't have dog or any pet but there is a cat who routinely enter my house everyday. she always wait for me in front of my door if i'm not in the house

i feed her everyday, but in the night while i want to go to sleep or while i go to work she also go outside, once i try to keep her at night but it looks like she don't feel comfortable,so i let her go. it happens almost 5 years.

and almost five month she never come back again. i don't know what happens to her. i like need some closure. she is dead? found new home? or someone try to keep her or what?

Well, thanks guys. I needed to get that off my chest. dogs don't live as long as humans so you know it's going to happen but still, you are never prepared. a lot of beautiful and funny memories, it's really a treasure and the day i have kids, i will get a dog for them so they can create that bond, too.

i remember that time we went for a walk and we both came in contact with who knows what plant and developed an allergy, our faces swelled so much (we got the "leonine facies", as it is technically called) i had to rush to the city, i dropped him at the vet and then went to the hospital myself.

Sorry man. We had to put my old family dog down at the vets this year because he had a tumor they wouldn’t operate on. Your dog went peacefully and at home. Always hard to lose your best friend. Stay strong man

It sucks to lose a pet, for me it happened before and always brings me more pain than losing some people in my family that I ´m not close to, some say it´s only a dog/cat so it´s no big deal but they mean more than most people to me so it´s tough.

Stories like this always bring me back to when we had to put our family dog down who i knew since i was 4 years old. It s incredible how much one can miss a dog and how close a bond you develop with him over the years.

when I was a kid 7 or 8 years old I adopted a stray cat,named him TOLDO ,because he loved to play with a football,the size 5 one,which was weird because the ball was bigger than him almost haha...and had him for couple of years(1 or 2 only I think)...until some stupid ass hole poisoned him but the worst part is that I didn't have a chance to say goodbye because I wasn't even at home when it happened(at my aunts for summer vacation)...my dad let the vets take care of his resting place...they told me the cat was looking for me when it was dying but I wasn't there...too many feelz were delted that time

One of my friends has his dog shot by his neighbor because it was on his yard. My friend lives in the boonies of Connecticut. Everyone has 3+ acres of land. It was a small dog too not like he had a fucking Pitbull. He had a girl ass gay dog his daughter wanted.

I don’t know how he didn’t go to that dudes house and bash his head in. My friend is a huge black dude that was in the marines as a Tank driver. Some people are total assholes but JJm who fucking poisons a cat!!!! I hate them with a passion because I am super allergic and they suck but you know it’s some little girls or old lady’s best friend.
