Hey guys!
I was planning to go to Milano this summer or fall and now that Derby is in September, I would like to use the opportunity watch the game as well live.
What's the best way to obtain tickets and when can that be done given it's an "away" game?
Do you have any tips for the match day in general?

I have been to the Derby in 2015 with a group of friends as part of a fan club, so everything was sorted out through the fan club, I just had to board the bus to Milano and that's it.
This time around, I would be traveling with my wife, spending a 2-3-4 dayd there, probably visiting Venice before or after.

I went to a home game vs Udinese back in 2019 (the game where Candreva got slapped by De Paul) and I purchased a ticket on inter.it in curva sud (blue seats). The process was very straightforward - paid, got a QR code as pdf and showed it on my phone at the gate on matchday. The seats were good, I purchased them 2 days before the game and attendance was around 60k I think.

Similarly, I think you would have to go to the Bbilan website and purchase the tickets since they are hosts. This being a derby, you might have to be quick to avoid the shitty seats way at the back. Ideally you'd go for the red section: good view of both choreos, behind the bench and coach, shortest distance to throw flares at the players, and best view of the large screen on the opposite side (which I ended up looking at quite often for replays, close-ups etc.). But I am sure you know all this since you've been there already.

Maybe others who have attended this fixture recently will give you better answers.

Have fun!

For home matches head to https://www.inter.it/en/tickets
For away matches you can either:
- buy at the home team's website (you have to register at acmilan.com for the derby for example :yao2: ),
- or go to viagogo.com and look for the match event to buy tickets.

Apparently, tickets become available 3-4 weeks before the match.
