Brazil needs to do a Germany and revamp their entire infrastructure.

That's where I disagree with you. Germany pumps out products, but Brazil used to pump out talents. There is a difference.

German players are disciplined with good tactical discipline, but they rely way way less on natural talent and more on hard work.

Brazilian players were kids who played barefeet in the streets, and spent all their youth days in the streets, practicing individual technique, without much regard to tactical discipline.

You can teach tactics, systems, team work. But you cannot teach what Ronaldo and Ronaldinho did. That is something learned on your own aside from club football. And most importantly you're born with.

Germany's success is down to planning and infrastructure, while Brazil's success was down to footballing culture. A footballing culture that is slowly evaporating or is simply becoming irrelevant due to the high tempo/organization of modern football.

But Germany did revamp their infrastructure so that they were producing actual footballers instead of grinding out pieces in a system. Maybe they will never produce someone as outrageously talented as Ronaldinho, but they've got a widespread and well-organized youth system making players technically proficient enough for pretty much any team in the world.

Hard work? Of course it's important, but look at Gotze or Kroos play and don't claim that there's not plenty of footballing talent there as well.

German players are not as technical as you think. Theyre a bit like Spanish players. Theyve certainly improved passing with the inside of the foot, their specialty, but that has a lot more to do with vision and tactical know how than technique.

Technique is a lot more than that. Although, Im not denying their players lack it, it is still not at the same level as old school Brazilians. German players lack that spontaneity that made players like Ronaldo and Ronaldinho great. Or the amazing free kicks of Roberto Carlos and Cafu.

Personally I like Lahm a lot as a player, but think about what makes him good, and what made Roberto Carlos and Cafu good, compare them, and youll see the difference between old Brazil and new Germany.

fap, you're cool and all but you really need to learn more about football coaching, methodology e.t.c. Football in brazil hasn't been about "barefoot and in the streets" for more than 4 decades. Their coaching methodology has been refined for a long, long time.

To then assert that Spanish and German players are not brilliant in technique (or less than old school brazilians, whatever that means) takes the cake though. Pretty irrelevant for me to discuss further.

You're confusing technique with skill. Technique is the ability to so something, Skill is doing it under opposition pressure.

Passing with the inside of the foot is all about decision making and vision and has little to do with technique. That's where the concept of "passing the ball into the net" comes from. When German players score outside of the foot banana kicks from 30 meters, and use elasticos every step of the way (and incorporate it into their play not just do it) then well talk.

99% of what German players do technically, any player can do. The reason why theyre good, is they can do it against strong opposition.

What Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, etc... do, most players can't even do without opposition pressure, let alone incorporate it against strong opposition.
