Serves them right for trying to propose a baseball stadium for the world cup final.

I personally find it important what kind of league a country has. It should be a sort of reward to the strongest nations that they get a World Cup every now and then. For example, would you expect the Rugby World Cup to be held in Germany?

Yes and that ended up working out, but now all of a sudden non-Americans have a problem with the US wanting to use them again. They say they don't want FIFA to have to put money into American football stadiums. But really, upgrading those stadiums is way cheaper than building a bunch of new ones from scratch. I don't understand that argument.

I read on another site from someone who lives in Qatar that there will be specialty stores that will sell alcohol and it'll be allowed into the stadiums. I'm not sure if that's completely true but I figure I can believe someone who actually lives there.
