We always had great keepers, these keepers didn't always play great though. I find it hard to believe Sommer would be worse than the last years of Julio and Handa.

Sommer will be more like Peruzzi. A decent stop gap. If Trubin potential is legit we'll be fine. If not, then we have a problem.

The main issue with Sommer is he's not good with ball on his feet so we need to change the way we play. Acerbi and Hakan need to take a lot more initiative in our build up play with Onana gone.

I don't like the idea of GKs rotation at all. Just buy a very good GK and fix his position.

I actually think it is the best for GKs rotation in a cost/benefit ratio perspective, along with future development.

Sommer is/was actually a WC level, the only 2 things that hold him back a bit is his height and playing with feet which are all mentioned, but everything else he is/was top notch, anything you name, decision (limited to GK not feet related), position, handling, reflexes etc.

well, we didn't, but Onana was a big piece of that build-up, not that we can't without it but it was a big plus, he was secure and made almost everytime the right moves, something we lacked with Handa, it's a style of play that we adipted because that skill he had

We finished 4th with this amazing build up from onana and finished 2nd last year, even with a finished dinosaur on our goal... Like i said before, if the goalkeeper can save shots he will be fine. Id rather have him be a good shotstopper than a guy that can pass the ball well. Every goalkeeper can learn to make a basic pass, so i don't see a problem, other than Sommer's height.

And we did the buildup from the back with Handanovic as well during Conte era and Inzaghi first season.

It's not something totally unique by Onana. Onana brought that to new level but I don't see us losing massive amounts of quality from our game when we lose him.

We'll be fine if we get Sommer and Trubin (provided Trubin really has the potential cause he'll replace Sommer at one point).

We aren't a team that's terrible with the ball so that we must have a Gk long range pass every attack and skip the actual play. We'll just have to revert to how we played without a gk that is also a cb or you know reinvent ourselves, since we have quite a few new exciting players coming in this summer.

Onana is some sort of a cheat code, he was so good playing ball that I genuinely think the rest of the team wasn't fully adapted to this.

Personal opinion that you might not agree with: We didn't make most of Onana's ability as a team and we never would going forward because this is simply not how the game should be played. So while we're probably downgrading in the GK department cause Onana was a solid shot stopper, hopefully Inter plays football with the players that are supposed to instead of a gk that has to be doing it for the rest. Just get a GK that is decent with the ball and primarily is able to make saves, when you're hell bent on selling this guy for profit.

Reminds me of everything else about football now: everyone must know how to do a little bit of everything but excel at nothing, so average defenders that can carry the ball a little bit further the pitch are being overrated, slow/average strikers that miss tons of chances are praised for their deep playmaking or whatever.

Every department except for the midfielders are overrated football players generally speaking.

I think we can easily replace brozo, in truth we already did with slotting Calha in the role

We already lost Skriniar, Brozovic, and Dzeko. We can't lose Lakaka too. In the end we sacrifice Onana to fund Frattesi and Lakaka. Maybe get some money for Skriniar replacement too.

Marotta playing Onana ala Hakimi route Dumfries. Sell one of the best and get mid replacement, like Trubin and Sommer.

We already living like this every year, just like Cancelo and Hakimi. Just another sad year, losing three pillar for few money, but i trust Marotta. Somehow Marotta always buy good player.

Chalha did better job in taking the ball out, Brozo always had risky balls, it's about skipping that man in buildup so he can make a +1 man in midfield

time for Inzaghi to teach them some new play then. Motherfuckers have been stuck in the same slow ass build up play for 4 years.
Also, Brozovic has had more horrible passes last year than in the previous 4 combined.
