Seriously? That's the part that confuses you in that lineup?

Don't have one.
Cordoba was 1.73 and did fine for us.
Cordoba also had a freakish leap when jumping. Imo if you don't have that as a short cb you might as well curse your faith for not choosing to be a striker or further up the pitch.

1.75 CB ? Thats suicide bro.

Let ManU overpay 60M€ for him.
actually 50M Lisandro Martinez is better than 50M Bremer. Martinez game play style are actually really needed on Serie A. too bad Manu already booked him

Wouldn’t say that. Although i really like Lisandro (i don’t know if he is suited to the PL tho, would be fantastic for Atletico for example), he would slot in the position for Bastoni here rather then De Vrij his place. No room for Lisandro here.

Bremer is the one for us. If we sell De Vrij and Skriniar. I would go for Gvardiol. Seems he has a 40 million bit-out. To expensive for us sadly.

Torino president Cairo warns suitors over Bremer price

Torino president Urbano Cairo doesn't want to see Gleison Bremer sold on the cheap.

Bremer is expected to leave Toro this summer.

But Cairo complained: “If I look at the sums at the two are valued at, I see that Skriniar is valued at €60-70 million, and Bremer at €25m.

“I don't think that adds up, because the latter is a top player.

“Yesterday I spoke to his agent and asked him, if Bremer was at team X, how much would he go for? I believe the answer was much higher."

no thanks, after this shit cairo said this, it's over all Bremer saga things. it's ridiculous. I don't think some defender over there more insane to deal over Bremer. Senesi, Timber, Lisandro Martinez, Mukiele, Gvardiol, Pau Torres etc...... give me more logical targets over Bremer.

Few changes from last season's line up. We've lost Perisic who was crucial for us, but if Gosens stays fit for all important games all season long and delivers anything remotely close to Perisic then we're covered there. The only other noticeable change is Lukaku. I dare to say that we would've won the Scudetto if he hasn't been sold. Replacing him with Dzeko and Correa was a big costly massive downgrade.

The rest of our signings are squad depth which is good for rotation.

I'm not 100 percent sure but I think Martinez is actually good in the air and wins most of his aerial duels. Must be a short Argentinean Martinez thing.

If, massive if, Skriniar stays, we will have fixed our two biggest issues last season. Midfield depth and a striker. Lukaku is a MASSIVE upgrade over Dzeko. Particularly second half of the season Dzeko. If De Vrij can return to his Conte form I still think we can win the title. After that? Juve will run the league again. So let's make good use of the next season.

We don't have depth in midfield, 4 good players for 3 positions ain't really depth, Mhki is on vacation, Gags is being paraded around, other are even less important

I don't think people understand how large of a step back going from Skriniar to Milenkovic is. It's akin to going from Lukaku to 36 year-old Dzeko.
If we even land Milenkovic

I read about that somewhere.

/ [WhoScored] 5ft 9' Lisandro Martinez won 69% of his aerial duels over league and European competition last season. A greater success rate than 6ft 5' Dan Burn (66%)

So after a lot of wild speculation we ended up with this.

Starting lineup*:

Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Brozovic; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Gosens; Lukaku, Lautaro

Bench:

Onana; D'Ambrosio, Acerbi, Dimarco; Asllani; Bellanova, Gagliardini, Mkhitaryan, Darmian; Dzeko, Correa

*I know Gosens isn't considered a starter by Inzaghi but i want to be positive he will turn things around.

Tbh this isn't so bad and it is definitely better than i expected after all the rumours about a big sale all summer.

- Lukaku is certainly an upgrade over Dzeko. It remains how much of an upgrade he is. Hopefully he will stay fit enough to find out.
- Perisic loss is a big one but it was totally expected the moment we signed Gosens. Instead of signing a proper lb backup we decided to take a gamble on Bellanova. If Gosens doesn't return to form we're gonna have a problem.
- I have serious concerns about Mkhi replacing even the injury prone and inconsistent version of Vidal we had watched in the last two seasons. I have concerns about our squad depth in midfield in general.
- We finally have a proper Brozovic backup. I like what i have seen from Asllani so far and i hope Inzaghi starts trusting him more.
- Acerbi is a decent replacement for Ranocchia but we did nothing to address De Vrij poor form last season.
- I understand the reasons behind the decision to offload Sanchez but i hope it won't bite us in the ass. We need Correa to stay fit and finally deliver.
- Missing on Bremer and, especially, losing him to Juventus was a tough pill to swallow. But if i have to choose between him and Skriniar, i am ok with how things went. I am still undecided whether we did well to choose Lukaku over Dybala. This could be the decider of our season.
- We are still one serious injury for a starting defender or midfielder for our season to go downhill.

All in all, i think the balance is positive considering our financial situation but it remains to be seen where we stand compared to our rivals after the mercato.
