I dont know how Samuel is still a reliable choice for some of you guys..As well as he has been for Roma he is sucking big time with Real. I really dont know if we can say he is a sure thing if he comes.I would rather a defender whose ability is on the rise not vice versa..

It would be wonderful if we could get a deal in defence like we did in midfield with Cambiasso(who impressed everyone) and unlike Davids,who we had lots of high expectations for,thankfully Cambiasso was there so that they dont crash down. :star:

Kinda like how Cordoba covers up for whoever the hell is playing beside him. I often see him roaming the entire back line. The guy is a friggin' anchor back there.

People need to understand this, its just not going to happen. We have a better chance with Chivu (even thats hard).

Samuel has been shocking. His playing like Materazzi for Real Madrid.

That would be nice to play on the PS2 but in reality it would be a recipe for disaster.

Although that may be true, Carini was very shaky and didn't show much of his "potential". However, i do know that he is quality keeper from his performances with Uruguay in World Cup 2002. He really caught my eye, but he was very nervous last weekend.

Those are fair points, but i think Veron has proven to us that he can be a very useful midfielder. He's still the most creative player on this squad, and i am not sold on Pablo Aimar ever being able to stay injury-free. On top of that, Rosicky seems to be very inconsistent - the transition from the Bundesliga to Serie A wouldn't be a piece of cake.
