The time span given for his recovery could mean a number of things, either he has fracture some of his bone into fragments, hence needed a repair to keep the joint secure, or either they have opted to treat his dislocation permanently. Once you have had one dislocation, subsequent ones are more frequent, therefore they may have decided to operate on the joint, ie. bolt the shoulder joint

Having said that, its a damn shame Nagatomo is on the sidelines. His energy is crucial for the system were currently playing and he would have been great for the big match with Milan
