I thought it was a really good move, and you could see him impact right away. The idea was to keep possession and suffocate Verona, he was getting a lot of touches on the ball and doing exactly that. I guess between Guarin being so desperate for a goal, Kova getting tired, and Rano sitting too deep, Verona started to claw back into the game, but I don't think that takes anything away from Kuzmanovic. In fact, I think he needs to stay exactly for that reason, he helps us put our foot on the ball and control the tempo, which is a great option to have.

Agreed. It's not that Kuzmanovic is a bad player, he actually has good qualities. He's a very reliable passer and you could see that today as well... if he ever loses a ball it's usually because he's slow, but in terms of range and quality of passing, he's very good. He just can't defend at all and absolutely doesn't fit Mazzari's system. Even at Napoli, Mazzari always needed players that can contribute more in defending like Inler and Behrami.
