Going out of their way to buy Bento
According to FcInter1908, the club’s management is working to get the green light from the owners to launch an onslaught.

As the source explains, the club’s technical directors will have an important summit with Suning towards the end of May.

Therefore, Beppe Marotta, Piero Ausilio and company will ask for permission to buy the shot-stopper as soon as possible.

According to all accounts, the Nerazzurri management do not have a transfer kit to spend this summer. Hence, they can only raise funds through player sales.

However, the directors will ask the ownership for their consent to buy Bento with the promise of breaking even by the end of the summer transfer session.
I wonder how does this make Di Gregorio feel, who is courted by Giuntoli

Do we not have a thread for Michele Di Gregorio? 🤔
Jubentus are ready to offer the 26-year-old a €3m-a-year contract until 2029. The Bianconeri director Cristiano Giuntoli met Adriano Galliani in Milan on Wednesday night moving to the front row for the Italian keeper.

According to Tuttosport, Monza’s asking price is circa €20m, while Il Corriere dello Sport reports the transfer fee is slightly higher at €25m.
The request is €20m and Perin can be included in the deal. Di Gregorio would join Szczesny next season and replace him in the following one.

Too bad, he is born in Milano and his idol is Handanovic. He is 2 years older and 4cm shorter than Bento.

It’s a job in the end, you want to have best pay and be in highest level as much as possible. Maybe not this time for him.

Does anyone know much about Bento and what style of keeper he is? Am wondering if he's from the Ederson and Allison school or if he is more of a conventional keeper.

Not seen him but reports say very good with his feet so would think more ederson/Alison type.

Bento has said YES to joining #Inter and has the club as his 'priority'. Last summer, Bento was ready to join the club but the transfer was blocked by Athletico Paranaense. Now, #Inter is ready again and will attempt to lower the €20M request.

Tuttoshit writing that Inter are ready to buy Bento after selling fringe players. Gaetano Oristanio, Martin Satriano, Mattia Zanotti, and Zinho Vanheusden listed as players whose departures could finance a move for Bento.

I remember reports writing that Inter reached agreement for 15M. I hate inflation, hope they manage to keep the same price of last year.

I don't get why we don't buy Di Gregorio instead. The price will be similar, but we have a small discount for him, he is homegrown, no need to adjust to the league or Italy.

Maybe they've made the assessment that his ceiling is not Inter level.

Isn’t Di Gregorio kinda bad with his feet? I assume that’s something crucial we seek in a gk, given the way we play.

Yes, he's 26 and only really has had his first breakout campaign this year. When you are on a budget then you might baulk at paying top dollar for a keeper without a broader body of work behind him.

I wouldn’t say he’s bad but probably not as good as you would want for a team that wants to able to build from the back. I’ve barely watched Bento but he’s Brazilian so he can probably ping a ball around more likely than not 😂

I’ve only watched Beto against England and therefore cannot judge fully, but he gave me Alisson vibes.

Maybe because a player like Bento has more 'plusvalenza' then Di Gregorio? Since I think Bento, after a good season or 2, has more potential then Di Gregorio to be bought for a lot of money by an EPL or big money club.
Therefore, financially it would make more sense for Inter to buy Bento
