We will not take into consideration our remaining 2 EL games, Strama, this means that we`ll play with full, yes I said full, 11 sub players from GK to the ST. I dont care, play the entire primavera. so this will mean that Inter is gona conentrate on the league for full 3 months (untill the first game of the knockout stage on 14 February).

I agree with that (sort of, might be a bit extreme. We're still in NextGen & we only have so many registered on the B list) The only reason I would have wanted us to do well in those EL games was to continue the winning streak.

27 Vid Belec (club-trained player);
24 Marco Benassi (association-trained player);
44 Matteo Bianchetti (club-trained player);
19 Esteban Cambiasso;
99 Antonio Cassano (association-trained player);
12 Luca Castellazzi (association-trained player);
7 Philippe Coutinho;
21 Walter Gargano;
14 Fredy Guarin;
1 Samir Handanovic;
42 Jonathan Cicero Moreira;
40 Juan Jesus;
88 Marko Livaja;
22 Diego Milito;
16 Gabi Mudingayi;
55 Yuto Nagatomo;
20 Joel Obi (club-trained player);
8 Rodrigo Palacio;
31 Alvaro Pereira;
23 Andrea Ranocchia (association-trained player);
52 Andrea Romanò (club-trained player);
25 Walter Samuel;
6 Matias Silvestre;
10 Wesley Sneijder;
4 Javier Zanetti.

48 Andrea Bandini (List B);
31 Matteo Cincilla (List B);
46 Yago Del Piero (List B);
61 Luca Garritano (List B).
8 Simone Pasa (List B);
49 Giovanni Terrani (List B).

I really liked what Strama said after the game. He admitted our mistakes today were at the back, but he didn't throw Silvestre under the bus (even though he was the single biggest reason for the loss).

He isn't making excuses, he takes the loss like a man, and he should be proud that the team was fighting till the very end (something that has been lacking for a few seasons now). The fact that he has infused the team with the right attitude gives him major points in my book.

I feel today he was let down by the players. Silvestre was beyond horrible, Livaja and Alvarez were Poor.

Agree 100%.

Now it'll be interesting to see how he turns us around in the next few games - especially if we lose the next game too, to be honest - and the fight in the players.

We will win against Cagliari, I'm pretty sure of it. He turned us around after Siena and this whole fucking "San Siro taboo" case. Today we lost - okay, it will happen sooner or later. But I've never been that confident of Inter since Mourinho era. Someone can be scary of repeating the scenario we had with Ranieri - after 7 league win streak we lost against Lecce away. But please don't compare these two situations, under Ranieri we were gaining wins because of luck, not because of our own strength. Now it's different.

By the way, did you all realize that we gave up all this fucking long ball playing like fucking Stoke City does? We made huge step forward also in matter of playing style. But what's more important we can still develop. And we will, beacuse Strama knows how to handle the shit.

Has energy on the sidelines, but keeping it classy in the post game. This game hasn't changed my attitude towards him. Smart and plenty of potential, and I like his character, but like some have said, this is where we'll see what he's really made of. The next few games will be very revealing. I doubt he'll rest everyone in the EL games, but I'm sure he realizes the importance of the league games. We'll probably see first team rotation + ~3 youngsters (counting Livaja, MBaye, etc as part of the latter). That said, here's hoping he gets some good luck on the injury front, would hate for him to lose yet another key player *knock on wood*.

Totally this. He's the players guy, he's their leader, not an authoritative figure clearly above them. Taking loss like a man is one of the things I want Inter coach to do. Not whine about offsides, penalties or whatever. Strama was also right about that we played good in a sense that we had a big pressure on Atalanta in the end phase of the game and we would have equalized the game had we not conceded that penalty.

We must be able to find another half decent CB for cheap. Send Branca back to Brazil. I dont expect someone to come in just like JJ, but I refuse to believe we cant find someone better and younger than Silvestre for 4-5m.

How about last year next gen winner team? Aren't there any hot prospect CB? Or how about Mbaye at CB do you think he will be better than Silvestre? You should know about these stuff considering your knowledge on Inter Primavera right?

sadly no.

Donkor and Pasa are too far away from being ready for first team football. They're both good, but Donkor is 17 iirc and Pasa is only this season playing regularly for the Primavera.

Kysela went back to Sparta Prague on a freebie, Spendlhofer is throwing a fit over a new contract so he trains with the Allievi and will leave in Jan, and that only leaves Bianchetti.

I think MBaye is far too naive, both emotionally and tactically, to play at centre-back. At full back, he has the chance to make some mistakes and still recover. I mean, yeah, I'm sure he'd be better than Silvestre, but I don't think it'd go well for him overall.

I'd like to see us dip into the market for 3-5m euros for a 19/20/21 year old centre back. Maybe we could bring back Caldirola?

Spendlhofer seems to have talent. Is he not that good so they don't agree the new contract?
And how about Pecorini. Can he be usefull once the ban is out?

Hmm

Pecorini as a centre back.. He could maybe succeed as a Cordoba-style centre back, but I dunno. He's a right winger who only recently got converted to right back. He's also on loan to Empoli, so lets just rule him out for now.

With Spendlhofer, we're trying to give him a new contract, but for whatever reason he's refusing to sign it. He;'s going to leave in Jan.

If we bring back anyone it should be Benedetti. Pretty sure he plays in a back three already, and has been our most impressive defender on loan. He's right footed to so will fit better in the right slot of a back three than Caldirola.
