It’s difficult for us to find someone who can replace Dumfries on the open market within our budget. Even if we do get a sizable fee for him; we would have to spend at least half of it finding a decent replacement to match his output. I think our best hope of improving upon him right now would be to keep developing Zanotti, who looks very promising, and Buchanan, who while very raw for his age, does possess threatening characteristics that we lack.

4mil is plenty fair— it’s what we’re offering Dimarco iirc. Hope he takes it and it’s case closed.

On a more serious note i think we looked at him as a guy who potentially could reach that level, if everything goes well...

Everyone wants more money, but they only get it if their demands are reasonable, which in this case, he is not.
I don't see him bringing anything special to the table. It doesn't work like this.
