I'm not sure that the Eriksen experiment is being given a proper opportunity to work here. If he was playing in the regista role with Vidal and Barella as two hardworking B2B mids flanking him, as well as our usual back three, I could see the idea having potential. But with only Vidal playing a B2B role and having Froggy and Lolarov playing behind him? I don't see how this is supposed to have enough defensive balance to keep Ribery from ripping us a new asshole once again. We already conceded three against this team this season, and I know Chiesa was still there at the time, but we're going to back to Kolarov playing a CB role when he had an absolute nightmare the last time.
We might still win thanks to sheer quality alone, I have no idea, but this isn't the supporting cast to see out this Eriksen experiment.
