Hi, this is a very quick cry for help!
Myself and 20 of my friends are in Milan for the Inter v Lazio game on 25 th April.
1. Is it best to use the ticketone.it website to purchase tickets?
2. Is it best to purchase the tickets from the Stadium?
3. Where is the safest place to sit in the stadium (we DO NOT want to sit near the Lazio fans!)
4. Any other advice?!!
thanks in advance

3) The Laziali will be seating on the first tier in the Curva Nord. If you wish to stay as far away from them, buy tickets for the second and third tiers; they will not be able to reach you then. ;) Also, do not sit right below where the Milan ultras are (second tier of Curva Sud). If you do, be prepared to endure a barrage of flares on your head. :)

Ciao,
Tim

I went to see the derby which was of course sold out but I got my tickets from outside the stadium, there`s lots of people willing to sell their tickets. Though if you`re going to get tickets for 20 people then its probably wise to get them before hand. I`ve never ordered tickets from ticketone but I suppose thats where you can get them. The Lazio fans will be in their own section so I don`t think you have any chance ending up sitting with them. I you don`t want any stuff thrown on you , you probably should stay away from the lower parts of the curves. Otherwise it`s quite safe at the stadium. If you have anything else to ask just go ahead.

Enjoy your trip!

Are Lazio ultras that dangerous in Milan? I thought that Inter-Lazio is one of the safiest games during the season because of gemmellagio between Inter ultras and Lazio ultras.

As a general advice I can say that avoid both curvas if you want to be in the safest positions of the stadium. Organized ultra groups sit in curvas in Italy and I think that both straights are safe are in home matches.

Thanks for all the advice so far!
I have looked at the ticketone site and from your advice would it be best to buy tickets in the 2 Est or 2 Ovest parts of the stadium!
Will we be safe from flares here?
And finally, if you buy from ticketone, can you collect them from the Stadium?
thanks

Ps. Thanks for all help, if you need any help with the English game then maybe I can be of some help (especially Aston Villa!)

It's not so much the hostility (or the lack of it) between the 2 sets of fans that pose the biggest danger to your health, but more so the flares, smoke bombs and such that might get in the way of your enjoyment of the match. ;)

Not to mention the noise. When I was at San Siro it was not that bad. But when I was at Delle Alpi the noise ruined my experience. I litterally could have lost my ears... Many people brought those things that sound like a game in Russia or Ukraine if you know what I mean.

Maybe it was due to my sensitive hearing but you might want to bring earprotection of some kind just in case. ;)

2 Ovest and 2 Est are both just as good. And yes, you`ll be safe from flares there.

I`ve never bought tickets from ticketone but this is what www.inter.it says:
"Collection at Meazza Stadium - Tickets can be collected also at TicketOne's Office at Biglietteria Nord of Meazza Stadium.
In order to collect the tickets you to have to show off at the TicketOne’s office the email received after the purchase, a document and the credit card used for the purchase"

So it should be possible to pick up the tickets from the stadium.

I don't know if this will help but one of our admin went for a trip to Milano last month and he has written a story out of it. I think you should at least read it. ;) Click here to read it. Hope it helps. :)

Yeah, thanks again everybody for all the help!
I will attempt to do a write up of our weekend in Milan with some pictures.

PS. In follow up to the Swedish tour of Inters Training Ground, it is standard practice at most top clubs to allow you into the training complex, but to train far away from the fans. It is that way at Villa anyway!

So i guess the fotos that you see on the website of inter.it with fans close by are special occassions in practice matches when they destroy the other team. :D

Hi everyone!
I will put an indepth report with photos on at a later date!

I purchased the 20 tickets from ticketone, in the west stand. These ended up above the Lazio fans! But they were no problem.

I am going to list a quick few positives & negatives about the occasion

+ the stadium is very impressive
+ it feels fairly safe all around area
+ good views all around stadium
+ brilliant build up from fans, especially when the huge banners are unfurled
+ it was sunny!
+ finally got chance to see Inter at home, after seeing them twice at Villa park
+ I bought an Inter shirt (official) with Vieri on the back
+ performances from Kily, Emre & Materazzi

- performances from Vieri, Martins & Adriano
- strange crowd noise, for example, no roar when kick off, no extra noise when attacks near goal (very diff to uk)
- the seats are incredibly uncomfortable (no backs)
- people climb over you to get to their seats
- the club shop is shocking
- the club caravan shops are even more shocking
- lots of nasty, nasty fake shirts
- no match programme!
- facilities not great compared to UK stadium
- fans booing their own player (Vieri), what do they think itll achieve

More later!

Cool. Would be even better if we have won this game. The banner (Looks something like CN+69) was really cool IMO. ;)

In England nearly all of the stadiums are all seaters with backs on them, however to me they seem more unopen! :D Also there are no banners and flares are banned! :cry2:

In Serie A the stadium I would say looks most like a Premiership one is Regginas Stadio Granillo! ;)
