Yeah could be blessing in disguise. This way, Inzaghi will probably have to use Bisseck in the centre, which may turn to be a great move.

If I had to bet, it's more likely we are trying to bubble wrap him with all this acerbi bullshit than being an actual injury. We'll see, I guess...

Still would love to see bisseck tried in the middle or even pavard. It would be great if both of them could coexist at the same time on the pitch.

Hopefully it's not serious because I think SDV will easily handle the rest of our opponents. Only Bbilan's Giroud can be a problem for him.

Sports Entertainment Group (SEG) must pay Internazionale player Stefan de Vrij more than 5 million euros. This was decided by the Amsterdam Court of Appeal in an appeal. De Vrij receives a higher compensation than previously awarded by the court.

De Vrij made a transfer from Lazio to Internazionale in 2018 and SEG interceded. According to the footballer, SEG did not disclose to him the commission that the brokerage company would receive from Internazionale for this, while SEG was obliged to do so. SEG claimed that it did not assist De Vrij in the transfer, but Internazionale.

Mediation agreement between SEG and Stefan de Vrij

The court ruled that a mediation agreement within the meaning of the law did arise between SEG and De Vrij. SEG was therefore obliged to inform De Vrij of its own financial interest - a commission of €9.5 million - in the formation of the employment contract between De Vrij and Internazionale. The court finds that SEG violated that duty of disclosure.

The court considers it proven that the defender enjoyed a lower income as a result and estimates his damages at over 5.2 million euros. The court previously awarded the player 4.75 million euros.

SEG founded by Alex Kroes

SEG was founded in 2000 by, among others, Alex Kroes, the suspended general manager of Ajax.

The 32-year-old De Vrij played at Feyenoord from 2010 to 2014, where he went through youth training. Ten years ago, he swapped the Rotterdam club for Lazio of Rome.

The central defender played 62 international matches for Orange. During the last international period he had to drop out at the last minute with an injury. He therefore missed the games with Scotland and Germany.

nah, i had something else in mind. There's a historic 8-2 game and it just comes up every time there's a big score difference between the two.

I was referring to the games with Luis Suarez at Ajax actually. 5 and 4 goal wins for Ajax.
Feyenoord recently destroyed Ajax and could have scored 10 as well, but they run out of gas. There was also a 6-2 win just before covid. That was when a couple of Greeks were going to various derbies around the world and they had an episode where they were attending that special one :D

Ok so I went to check the number of De Vrij and Acerbi

De Vrij was on the pitch in 6 CL games and we conceded 7 goals in that time. 1 clean sheets when he played + 1 half time clean sheet.
Acerbi was on the pitch in 6 CL games and we conceded 4 goals in that time. 3 clean sheets when he played + a 15 minutes cameo without conceding.


De Vrij was on the pitch in 25 games in Serie A (starting eleven 17 games, subbed in in 8 games).
When he played from the start we conceded 5 goals, 11 clean sheets when full minutes. Those minutes he was coming off the bench, we didn't concede a goal in Serie A.
The games we did concede when he was playing full minutes were a 1:2 win against Atalanta, a draw against Juventus, a 1:5 win against Monza, a 2:1 win against Genoa and a 1:0 loss to Sassuolo.

Acerbi was on the pitch in 27 games in Serie A (starting eleven 24 games, subbed in 3 games).
When he played from the start we conceded 16 goals, 12 clean sheets when full minutes. Those minutes he was coming off the bench, we didn't concede a goal in Serie A.
The games we did concede when he was playing full minutes were the 5:1 win against AC Milan, 1:2 loss against Sassuolo, 2:2 draw against Bologna, 1:2 win against Atalanta, 1:1 against Juventus, 1:1 against Genoa, 2:1 win against Hellas Verona, 1:1 against Napoli, 1:2 win against Udinese, 2:2 against Cagliari, 1:2 win against AC Milan. Acerbi also featured for 63' minutes in a win against Roma, where we conceded 2 goals while he was on the pitch.

So what it seems is that Acerbi had a worse Serie A campaign, but he did better than De Vrij in CL. If Acerbi is rested, he is a beast, while De Vrij seems to be a creature of habit. If he has a run of games, he'll deliver against most teams - which is why I want him to stay for at least 2 more seasons.

When De Vrij started, we only lost 5 points in Serie A.
