Handanovic and Bastoni are still out.
I thought Dimarco had a good game against Bologna. He was industrious moving forward and was the only one who responded with determination to the Bologna equalizer (which I don’t blame him for). Everyone else dropped their heads but Dimarco at least tried to make things happen. I would definitely start him again as opposed to playing Skriniar on the left, something I’ve always hated.
I don't want to hear a thing about fucking Cordaz starting. A 40 year old 3rd keeper is barely a professional athlete as far as I'm concerned. Radu will play. It is what it is.
Calhanoglu is obviously suspended but will still travel with the team to Udine. I appreciate the gesture but I'd also appreciate him picking up less cards. 10 yellows in 31 games is just obscene.
How sad our midfield depth that I was extremely relieved to hear that Vidal has recovered. I don't expect Inzaghi to start him, being the conservative type, but I really hope he does. Even an unfit Vidal is better than Gagliardini or Vecino. If we start one of those idiots I can see us getting blown away early like against Sassuolo.
You know, Lautaro had such a good game against Milan and Roma that it had a huge critic like me second guessing my stance. I kept thinking, "instead of buying a #9 like Scamacca, maybe we should trust Lautaro as our main forward instead". Then he followed up those great games with the most typical Lautaro performance against Bologna where, with the team needing a second goal, he took about 20 shots, all of them instinctively snatched at, with zero composure or placement.
Still, I would gamble on starting Lautaro and Correa once more. If they're shit again today then fuck it, for all I give a shit we can pull names out of a hat for the rest of the season.
