Good episode, agree that Buchanan needs more playing time to evaluate. Unfortunately, Buchanan will have to wait, don't see Inter winning this one, hard pressed to see a draw too. You just can't flip a switch when you've been coasting mentally and physically for dang near a month. It will be a wake up call though and the second star will be secured eventually. Hope I'm wrong.
I understand the pessimism but Milan aren't exactly coming in hot.

Agreed, but losing a 6th Derby in a row in front of their fans, coupled with delaying their rivals to celebrate is a great motivator, regardless of the outcome vs Roma. Like I said I'd love to be completely wrong.

At least they have to play Roma first, where they need to win to have a chance to go through.

Good episode, it was a bit timid considering how pissed off the forum was

Great episode, a very positive. You guys are right playing Leao as the central strikers was a fatal mistake. Always knew Theo was a little dirty, however Frattesi looks like the kinda guy that would talk a lot of smack. Debating on getting the home jersey with second star, it's not good. If they design the stars like we seen currently, no way it looks like the stars Wiley E. Coyote sees when he smashes into the tunnel he painted to catch the roadrunner. Expect Inzaghi to mix and match the starting lineup vs Torino. Can see Darmian with Bisseck, Frattesi and Augusto starting with Audero in goal. The others subs will come at the 60min mark.

Why Audero?

Guys, Jubentus haven't put the third star on their jersey until they officially won 30. Scudetto. I remember they have marketed it, showing three stars on stadium and they even had that awful looking pink jersey with big star on it, but they didn't wear three stars over their emblem. I think this is regulated by FIGC. They did wrote "30 sul campo" on jerseys, but yeah, who cares.

I've put these jerseys in spoiler if you don't want to look at it, but here you can see that there are no stars at all.

So yeah, don't spoil yourself the fun of that second star. It is a big achievement.

Is this Uni taking the piss out of a couple of messages we sent?

It just sounds like the music I send to him, bar Juve.

Episode 40 is out!

On top of the usual match review/previews, we do season review of our forwards.
So given that all our remaining matches are essentially friendlies, we've recalibrated the format a bit. We'll spend each of the next five weeks recapping a positional group in the squad. Today we covered off forwards. We'll probably hit midfielders next week.

We do still talk about Torino and Sassuolo, though.

For me, Lautaro, Thuram, Taremi, Arna and possibly Correa group is good enough for the next year. No transfer fee money. Use some money to sign a back up goalie and possibly right wb if we sell Dumfries.

I agree with @Universe that we should do everything in our power to sign Zirkzee if that’s even a legitimate option. I would part ways with a big prospect like Carboni for him. His class level is apparent. That type of striker rotation with Martinez - Thuram - Zirkzee - Taremi is what top teams around Europe already have. If we want to truly compete on 3 fronts that’s what it takes.

Regarding Buchanan I think the most concerning part about what I’ve seen from him so far is he doesn’t really seem to be that proficient at the basics. When Bisseck played you could immediately tell he had quality with his passing ability and receiving the ball in tight spaces. Buchanan hasn’t really shown a lot of awareness and that’s worrying because he’s already 25.

However, with that being said unless we actually play him in his best position for a couple of games it’s hard to tell what his ceiling really is. We have given the kid no ability to gain confidence. Inzaghi is not great at integrating new players, especially when they’re young. That’s just the truth. Every player that’s ever truly been integrated has been out of necessity not luxury.

To be overly charitable to Buchanan, I have to assume he’s showing something in training. For better or worse, Inzaghi doesn’t really give undeserved minutes. We saw Asllani glued to the bench last season, Klaassen has received minutes commensurate with his mediocrity and so on. The fact that he’s getting minutes might be suggestive, especially as we’re already well covered on the left.

If I had to guess why he’s being played on the left, we’re probably setup to attack more with our LWBs. Miki’s often laying off and dropping back behind Dimarco and Bastoni, while Barella/Frattesi are the primary offensive source on the right (especially when Darmian is playing RWB).
