We have great strikers, the best in the world, who ever plays it doesn't matter, two ours striker will ocupie every defence in the world and our atacking midllfilers will have a lot of space this season.
Cambiasso, Viera on the start of a season, Stanković now taking advantage from that scoring goals, hope for same from Figo&Solari.
We can't fix our duo coz all of them have quallities for starter, Macini have responsabillity to put two "in the best form at the moment" on the pitch, resting them on a quallity way, rotations that all of them be happy...
I must say that I am happy an proud that we finally have such a respected players(Crespo),such a huge tallents(Recoba,Ibra),powerfull icons(Adriano) and respected perssons(cruz) in our atack. :lick:

True. It easily has to be one of the worst polls ever created. No Cruz, No Recoba.

And everybody know choosing of strikers should be based on current situation i.e. compatibility and form.

I would definitely go with Recoba behind Crespo and Zlatan at the moment..Both Recoba and Zlatan can go back and help the midfield while Crespo is dangerous as ever..Cruz would be the first option to step in..

Wittman, they say great minds think alike! I indeed agree with you mate. The question is, Recoba. Is he fit enough? Base our attack on an injury prone player.

I dont see it`s a big problem, Ibra is doing a good jop and he barely get injured.. so If Recoba is fit, we badly need to take advantages of that.. and we can just wish for him not get injured again.

At the moment, that's what I meant, Vic..;) Recoba looks good, if he doesn't get himself injured again, he could be important part of this team..I must admit he's Inter player that I was feared of the most when it came to derbies..

Are you out of your mind!? :p

As far as Recoba and Derbies are concerned, now I have followed and watched every Derby since 2001/2002 but I have never recalled a Derby where Il Chino did well. Recoba has an absolutely abysmal record against Milan. For the past 5 years, in 14 matches, he has had 0 assists and 0 goals against them.

So, why the fear? ;)

Against Livorno, starting strikers will be again Cruz and Recoba. Mancini decided to rest them in this game so they can play in mid-week match. And in derby, there are again Crespo and Zlatan.

Zlatan needs clicking at the moment. The genius shines through from his actions, but the success hasn't come yet. Maybe it would be wise to start with Recoba, because he enjoys playing at the moment. If Chino can make the difference playing from the start, Zlatan can come on second half without so much pressure, which he has now when he's starting and needs to do/create goals.

Pure center-forwards can be switched, there isn't so much difference.

I know he didn't do well..Regardless his poor record, I kind of always considered him as a special player that can make the difference on the field..He's just one of the players that I have high opinion of, luckily he have never showed it in derbies..

I'll easily pick Recoba-Cruz or Recoba-Crespo over any other pairing as of date. One creative force with a devastating passing and shooting foot along with a more or less typical poacher who's also at least a decent header.

Back then we were struggling to choose the starting strikers, now we are struggling to find the starting strikers.

How time flies and changes things.
