Littlefinger is such a motherfucker lol! I knew he was deceptive but it's all stemming from him. I think all of this is his plot to gain power........eventually trying to become king i would say. He went from lowly nobody to holding Lord of Harrenhall and now Lord of the Vale and Warden of the East.........all because of this war, which he pretty much started. Son of a bitch is brilliant, and deceptive as fuck. The whole time it seems as if he's been trying to ruin Tyrion's life lol. Always seems like he's the fall out man. If each character is suppose to have a villain they deal with at the end, my guess would be Tyrion gets matched up with Littlefinger, although Martin is doing a good job of giving everyone a reason to hate Littlefinger.

also let's not forget that by the time of book 3 ending he holds a special card in Sansa.....as in - having her means having the North after Robb Stark dies. GENIUS!!!!

I would like to continue this discussion when you guys read (the ones that haven't already) the fourth and fifth book, which are different beasts than the first 3. =)

Was not meant in that way, but I would lie if I said I didn't enjoy the fourth book. At least it had no
Daenerys
in it, so that's a plus.

I still have to start the third book.

Well season 4 is about to start anyways. So idk if you can finish the book in 3 days. The third book was amazing, even though I feel like Martin made a few mistakes.

I really feel like Tyrion shouldn't have murdered his dad. Because now he's the monster everyone thought he was. Instead of coming out and figuring out a way to prove all of his innocence, he's just as shitty as everyone suspects him to he. Kinslaying and telling jamie that he murdered Joffrey is even worse. Idk I felt like Tyrion was a wonderfully developed character. Everyone hates him and can't stand his features, yet he's probably the reason the lannisters didn't get butchered by stannis in the second book lol.

Is good. 3rd and 5th are the best IMO.

Though Shogun is the best fiction novel I have read in a long time. I highly recommend it to all, even got my mum on to it.

It's better to read the books first, and then watch the series anyway.

Tyrion had enough of all this shit, he and Jaime are probably the most misunderstood characters, but where Jaime is steadily finding his way into a different mentality, Tyrion just lost it in the third book, he doesn't want to do anything with the Lannisters anymore.

Put yourself in his dad's position? Who else could've done it right? Tyrion still was that "good" guy in a shitty situation, that did the best he could with what he had. Tbh if jamie didn't tell him about his first wife =\ that wouldn't have pushed him over the edge. He shouldn't have told him then.

He had to tell him right then, though. It was a big possibility that the brothers will never see eachother again. Tyrion returned the 'favour' with a lie and after seeing his whore in his fathers bedroom, that was probably the last stroke. He just snapped.

He doomed himself forever. I have a suspicion Tyrion is the next one to die.

hey asshole you just revealed Tyrion doesn't die through book 5! Careful what you reveal!!!!!!!!!!

He didn't have to tell him just then. If Varys was helping him escape he knew exactly where he was going and could connect them at some other time. Therefore saving tywin, tyrions status, and Varys' job.

Just saying he could've played it different, but I suppose there might be new possibilities creating a monster out of tyrion

I don't get why you were happy about no dani in the fourth book. I didn't like it too much.

I'm glad Cersei is getting screwed for all her stupidity. Giving the faith back their knights was sooooooo stupid LOL

Also, Jamie's character is fine, just his shitty progress wielding a sword is eh, I'm excited to see what happens with him.

Now to my favorite part. Littlefinger is a mother fucking boss. So brilliant with his schemes and designs. The only part that is going to be difficult for Sansa, is having Robert die lol.......... The coolest part about it though is once Cersei and King's Landing eat shit, Sansa can come out as her true persona, get the Vale & Winterfell & the North. And for all the hate I was giving Sansa in the first 3 books, she's doing much better growing up in this one, especially with littlefinger's wits and advice. She's playing her part beautifully and its quite impressive how she can manipulate Robert so well :D
