Yeah we also have to say we clean sheeted the best offensive of Serie A (they also scored 4 goals in Germany). And they were playing at a pretty demonic tempo in the second half.

But still, that's no excuse for Kondogbia to fail so bad in the second half (well maybe it is?)

You fuck I have not seen one post complaining about him, most of us agreed that it was a strange selection and we'll have to wait and see. Turns out he did get it right and we're thrilled about it.

In studio they are saying they were surprised to see Nagatomo in the line up and then they were even more surprised how he managed to contain Salah and Gervinho. They are praising Nagatomo and then Mancini for playing him. They showed two clips where Naga managed to keep up with Salah and are saying if it wasn't for Naga, Salah would've scored two goals.

No mention of Handa so far.

For the record, Mancini was here last season when we were "fucking conceding at will".............

Mancini made a few positive tactical decisions but if people are going to say the ship is steady, then I have no idea what they're talking about. We had two shots on target the entire game. People are pushing it a bit too far because we didn't concede against Roma, at one point we were parking the entire bus. Our best player today was our goalkeeper who made a number of world class saves. Without Handanovic, this would have been a definite loss. The way we defend and score our goals cannot be consistent over an entire season. These long term concerns haven't gone anywhere.

But don't get me wrong because it was an entertaining game and the result was boss. Mancini deserves to take it easy tonight.

An extremely important win in a long season ahead of us. We have managed to shut down a team who has been excellent so far. Great defending and also we created lots of goalscoring chances. Perhaps if it wasn't for a lack of concentration in offensive department we could have scored couple of more goals in many occasions when Roma was vulnerable in defence.

I understand that Mancini didnt want to take chances, after the red card Roma werent back out they would be attacking cause the game was already lost for them, Mancini did te right thing imo, it's sometimes better to be cautious than reckless by taking chances, after all Roma are the best attacking team in the league, if we were exposed at the back for a second they'd have killed us with counters of thei extremely fast FWs.

Only if we drawed or lost this game people would have raped Mancini for chosing to defend with man up.

I think the worst of the match by Roma were in an shared first place podium: Dzeko and Salah with the third being Pjanic. Gervinho was the best creating havoc, left and right.
